  1. Actually Carthaginians have huge advantages over Mauryans in naval battles. Garrisoning Quinquiremes with ballistas and soldiers does absolutely nothing. You've got to garrison them with catapults. Can't the devs write that important information somewhere down? If other warships get garrisoned with soldiers they are much stronger, possibly your opponent did just that. Exception: Fire ship : D
  2. I like the costs of non-mercenary citizens like they are, they have some variety. Mercenaries could be changed back like in A23 though, and ptolemies could swap skirmishers and slingers again.

  5. Now it goes like this: If your cc is your "1" and you want to add your castle to the 1, make sure that you release the 1 button before the shift button. Otherwise the cc gets selected immediately so your castle gets deselected. In A23 there was a tolerance time so you could add things to selections comfortably.
  6. The camps are limited to make those civs stronger, because mercs are rubbish now. ; )
  7. The German translations are now poor, while they have been decent in A23.
  8. I like some aspects of A24, but I also dislike some. For example mercenaries are not good now. Too expensive, too useless. Maybe change the mercenaries back? Don't think that they were OP in A23. Another point: Archers seem to be OP now because of (very) low inaccuracy. Why not removing the inaccuracy "feature" completely from the game?
  9. Those funny names and the descriptions should be swapped. People don't want to read first that's it a "Talmoris", they need to know that it's a "Slinger" because this is necessary and the "Talmoris" is unnecessary.

  12. I'm not so convinced - Why do spearmen do now more damage against rams? Not good for the Seleus that now every civ can make rams in siege workshops - Seleus don't have bolts or crossbows

  14. Don't worry, promoting units like that seems to be just a cheat, not a normal feature. In multiplayer matches, cheats are disabled by default. Btw this thread is a bit confusing

  17. Ok it works. Maybe it just didn't work in a specific situation. Or it didn't work because I modified one hotkey: I've set AltGr as alternative Hotkey for the single Alt, and this has been somehow interpreted as Alt+Ctrl (Windows issue?). The reason for this was that I could not select "fighters only" by holding AltGr anymore. However, when I removed AltGr again, the garrison-deselect-combo worked again : )
  18. Dont think that it has anything to do with the new setting. The problem is: If you release shift now a nanosecond before releasing the number, then it will immediately trigger the number command, which is chosing the selection. In A23 you had more time to release the number which was helpful. Can someone confirm and fix? Another annoyance: Garrisoning plus deselecting via alt+ctrl+rightclick does not work anymore at all.
  19. - If you have multiple buildings selected, it can happen that it's not possible anymore to give them a build-ralleypoint, for example if one of the buildings is a siege workshop (which cannot produce builders) - Adding Units/Buildings to control groups by shift seems to be buggy now, often it doesn't work
  20. Elephant Archers are no real citizens, they are rather champions. And in A24 they are also a spam unit, this brings the following new unit type into the game: Spampions!
  21. Of course it's good that one can configure hotkeys now, but this will look very confusing and hard to understand to newbies. In A23 we had descriptions for all the hotkeys, that has gone. Plus, the new surface is not translated. My suggestion: Bring the description back and implement the autociv-mod, which delivers one additional surface for changing hotkeys. That the mods autociv and fgod don't work anymore is an unpleasant regression. All mods which are feature mods without changing the game too much could be implemented.
  22. Pikemen are a subclass of spearmen. All civs have spearmen, Macedons only champions though. Civs with pikemen: Ptol, Seleu, Kush, Macedons. Citizen Pikemen deal half a point hack damage per second, so they are terrible against rams. (In A24 they have 100% hack bonus) Citizen spearmen deal 3 hack damage per second, which is not too bad against rams.
