  1. Mauryan maiden guards: "That's cute!" They cost 80 food, 60 wood, 80 metal. Why don't they cost 90-60-90? Lol
  2. I think that the system melee > cav > ranged > melee is not desirable, and it does not fit to the game. For example swordsmen are not too great against cav, especially ranged cav. That's okay. It should also be possible to counter some ranged units with some melee units for diversity. In A23 swordsmen were not too bad against archers, that's fine - should archers only be counterable by cav? No, because you can't run all your eco only by cav. Also, keep ranged cav in mind, it is cav and ranged. It is okay if it is not too great against other ranged units, which are supposed to be weak against cav in the mentioned system... And so forth...
  3. For me that does not look like fog of war, to be precise. Rather like unexplored territory.
  4. Barracks? No... Spearmen and Archers are already a good team. The stables are not too bad neither. Javelin cavalry is strong and you can also make champion cavalry. The stables of ptolemies and macedonians are similar. I'd say that those buildings are much better than every single one which I've nominated here.
  5. Looks like I have to explain why I consider the Blemmye Camp as even worse than the Column: - each Camp reduces the limit for Noba villages by one - you can train only merc jav cav from the camp, better train jav cav from stables and CCs - if you want to have a military building in neutral territory, just build a Noba village instead. It cannot train cav, but you can send your cav easily through the map and garrison it there - the camp will damage you more than the opponent, because it's a waste of metal - at the other hand the colums might be even useful in rare situations
  6. Definitely not. Quick food production which requires little pop space. However I've added one more option to the poll
  7. A funny poll. Did I forget to nominate another horrible building?
  8. If I'm not mistaken all horse heroes have been transformed into infantry heroes in A23.
  9. Yes, that's the scene. This is Pontius Pilatus who talks about that guy to his soldiers and Brian.
  10. My reaction when my soldier attacks a field instead of doing something meaningful:
  11. Does she increase or decrease his lifepoints by 10%? : )
  12. She increases talking speed of the guy by 25%!
  13. Traders need a lot of time before equalizing their own costs - I don't see how they are supposed to gather resources for mercenaries well. Before this works the opponent can already overrun you. At least this his how I see it, as a top 150 player. But I agree that the metal distribution is problematic! Sometimes one player has all the extra metal and the other player none.
  14. Actually not only the mercs seem to be pointless to get now, but also their technology because it costs much more metal now. Just change mercenaries back to the A23 state
  15. Studying physics in a nutshell! It's called studies for a reason ; )
  16. Actually Carthaginians have huge advantages over Mauryans in naval battles. Garrisoning Quinquiremes with ballistas and soldiers does absolutely nothing. You've got to garrison them with catapults. Can't the devs write that important information somewhere down? If other warships get garrisoned with soldiers they are much stronger, possibly your opponent did just that. Exception: Fire ship : D
  17. I like the costs of non-mercenary citizens like they are, they have some variety. Mercenaries could be changed back like in A23 though, and ptolemies could swap skirmishers and slingers again.
  18. "Judean People's Front??? We're the People's Front of Judea!!!"
  19. Master Yoddha: "Fall all your buildings will!"
  20. Now it goes like this: If your cc is your "1" and you want to add your castle to the 1, make sure that you release the 1 button before the shift button. Otherwise the cc gets selected immediately so your castle gets deselected. In A23 there was a tolerance time so you could add things to selections comfortably.
  21. The camps are limited to make those civs stronger, because mercs are rubbish now. ; )
  22. The German translations are now poor, while they have been decent in A23.
  23. I like some aspects of A24, but I also dislike some. For example mercenaries are not good now. Too expensive, too useless. Maybe change the mercenaries back? Don't think that they were OP in A23. Another point: Archers seem to be OP now because of (very) low inaccuracy. Why not removing the inaccuracy "feature" completely from the game?
