music.zip This mod replaces some 0ad background music of certain civs. Changes 1. The main theme has been changed to Plevne Marsi. 2. Han has some confusing buildings replaced with Carthaginian alternatives, namely the storehouse, house and farmstead. 3. Exact changes to music: Han: added popular modern Chinese songs but also some historical tunes as well as military marches. However, there is no completely off topic nonsense. Currently, it can be a little annoying to get a mesh from the game in Blender, especially when it has a lot of props. So I created this little blender addon for blender 2.8 What it does is it loads all the files used by the actor recursively (it picks random variants like the game does) and place all objects on their respective prop points using constraints. (Do not forget to disable constraints before exporting, else you might get into trouble) It also assign a diffuse, norm and spec material to the object @Syn I believe this will be way better than the explanation I gave you by e-mail, as it's a one click business @Alexandermb @LordGood @Enrique @Trinketos @The Undying Nephalim I believe you only use blender as a proxy, but it might be helpful for you as well. https://0ad.old.mod.io/terra-magna Alpha 26 update for the mod should hit soon (paging @Stan`)! I'd be willing to add the Suebians (Germans) and Epirotes as well, if they are desired. Or I can make them standalone mods. Not sure what direction Terra Magna should go in the future. A full mod, including the civs in one download, or just split the mod up into its component civs as separate mods. It would stop being "Terra Magna" then though, and the base game needs some code to make waypoint flags and battalion standards mod-agnostic.1 point

How powerful do they need to be? I wouldn't want healers to be able to keep the army alive mid-battle, like an RPG. Currently at rank 3 it's like getting a reinforcement teleported to where your army is in 4-8 seconds with only the initial healer cost. I think they're underused, which could be a consequence of the fact that it's faster and (more important) to build 2 blacksmiths (at least) and a market to go to p3 than to make a temple. I will however say that the techs are expensive, considering one will likely only make a handful of healers.1 point

based on the screenshots, both heroes will be totally useless so i dont see why you guys are working on that, except first one on naval ofc, but no1 plays naval rn. 15% tech cost and -50% resarch time is such a tiny advnatage, i doubt it even justifies building+hero cost. Considering you must first go p3, make building, get hero, this takes so much time(by then you have p3 eco techs unlocked, if you are going for boom option, otherwise why p3 and idle that 1.5min or however long the building takes to build+hero takes to unlock) and all this cost, for nothing, compared to getting +3 armor hero. by the time hero comes out there are no techs to get, even last p3 military techs, will be gotten or if you wait it out, youve just fallen behind, so the 50% less resarch time is irrelevant, if you waste 3X that long. 15% cheaper if you hope to use on castle, that is -675 res, again why waste hero for this, all that time unlocking and the cost of hero+building for nothing. denying enemy the loot is also an irrelevant stat, considering, you have this useless hero, and enemy has a good hero. loot only really matters if dead even exchange, but if enemy has better hero, hell get a far superior exchange. The 50% capture improvement, again is a "utility" type of advantage not power/eco direct advantage, it will rarely matter, compared to 20% dmg hero for example. I like comparing to standard 20% dmg boost of army hero, any hero bonuses, to think if they are op/weak. this one is maybe like 3% dmg hero, id take a 4% dmg hero over this one, every single time. XP also doesnt matter rn, in direct battle units die way b4 they can get xp(mele units), and ranged get small advantage over long period of battling/killing that gets negated by their inability to work as efficiently. In raiding, it matters, a small bit, as over time you can retreat, heal, repeat and get maybe 10% of army on rank 2, again tiny small advantage, totally insiginifcant. If you can get so many kills, while your units dont die, that they get promoted and get a relevant power boost, youve won the game with 10/1 kd anyway so it doenst matter. I wish XP requirements would get reduced by like 5X, would make the game somewhat more interesting.1 point

Hi and thank you for the detailed feedback. Just to answer several points about ai training or not training certain units. Currently how it works is that It has defined certain categories/classes and just picks unit with the best stats inside those. For the placing of warehouse and barn, it tries to put them to the best spot taking to account all resources around, it doesn't place them specifically for wood e..g but for all wood, stone and metal. Also it does not know if there is hill, the resource map for ai is flat. For food storage. It is just to place it in way so there will be space around for fields.1 point

Town phase is p2. This will move one forge tech from p3 to p2. p1 will have 0 techs, p2 will have 2 new techs, and p3 will have 1 new tech. Making p2 stronger makes p1 weaker.1 point

So to make the issue worse, we move some of the few leftover useful bits of p2 to p1. A player should be forced to phase up with around 50 pop to be competitive, current p1 is simply broken.1 point

The problem with heros bonus is not that they are terrible but how 0ad is played. Example this one. How many players play water maps? For the long time I have been playing; I have played water maps in team games <1% of time. Everyone wants heros to give armor and damage bonus or unit spam benefits. I'm not going to write use cases and explain why other heros have differnet bonus and their usecases becasue it will be ignored or no one will read. But if someone wants to comment on hero bonus, try to get out of mainland map, and try gameplay that suits hero condition and you will realize the benefit of the bonus. If you test the same and don't think it is worth it then maybe change the same.1 point

Just a suggestion that maybe that OP should list what changes were made to each version of the mod. Something like the below. This will allow players to see what actually changes and help determine whether a change is actually desirable. Changes Made 0.26.1 Fixed Han field upgrades by... 0.26.2 [Fill]1 point

Indeed something to be discussed. That being said, my intention here is more the former than the latter. I hadn't really considered it, but I think I could maybe set up a branch system to have variants of the mod, so you can use the provided infrastructure for other things. Alternatively, you could just setup forks that implement entire redesigns.1 point
