  1. Are diverting the focus of the topic... Pls stay focused on finding solutions and bringing new ideas
  2. Well we can work the agoge in another way. Instead of xp tricke, he can give champions more attack/health or other atribute with each passing age. In this model, the young soldier is removed.
  3. Here is the first version of patch. I'm happy with the results so far, I think it's fun, different and more historically realistic than the current situation. Changes: - Syssitia available in phase 1 - Champions can be trained on p1 They are young Spartans, have not yet completed the agoge training. They are barefoot and without armor, just their shield and spear. Its power is equal to a hoplite citizen, but with 100 health. Training time of 12 seconds. Requires 120 xp to be a traditional champion (nivel 2) as we know it. Hoplite tradition tech also affects young spartan, creating an interesting synergy. - Syssitia has an agoge aura, which provides xp trickle to nearby spartan young - Agoge tech removed - Champion nivel 2 can upgrade by 40 metal to champion olimpian - Gerusia back to the game available in phase 1 Now heroes are trained in gerusia. Gerusia has special technology apophora, available phase 1. Infantry skirmishers can gather grain 100% faster (same as women), but -20% attack. I want put two more technologies - Two new technologies Tyrtean paeans: champions +10 attack. Available phase 3 Krypteia: champions +20% movement speed. Available phase 2 sparta0.1.zip
  4. I'm fine with the loot system as it is now. I don't think it's time to change that, there are many other things before that.
  5. About krypteia, some sources say it is as a special police or as a reconnaissance force, on the other hand we have sources claiming to be part of the agoge, where the best were part of the krypteia, whose objective was to kill the potential helots of revolts. On that note, what kind of technologies would fit in here? Attack speed increase / attack speed increase but increase helot training speed, any other suggestions? Remembering that it already includes a technology to increase gather in farms for helots but decreasing their attack and also a technology to increase movement speed for champions (tyrtean paeans)
  6. Interesting the speed, but I think it must cost population. One idea I've always had is that siege tower can capture towers and forts with ease. The more units inside, the higher the capture rate. I don't like this unit being just a mobile tower.
  7. Olympic champion can be trained instead of an upgrade. You can research pankration to unlock training for that unit. Powerful but expensive unit with number limited training.
  8. Spartiates must be trained in p1, they represent the spartan population. The fact that they are very expensive to train in phase 1. The young spartan is a slightly stronger soldier than the common hoplite, just with a little more health and faster movement speed. it's a lot cheaper than the current one too (like 50f 30m), that gives you a chance to train at p1, but you need fight to increase level or just wait XP boost (agoge aura), anyway it can still be very efficient level 1. No seems complicated to me, it works like an citizen soldier who can pass the level. When he is at level 2 he can no longer get level 3, just upgrade to olimpian. Anyway i can make the patch more simpler.
  9. Tnx!! Maybe a rank 2 (advanced) hoplite might be historically correct.
  10. About neodamodes, I thought about brasidas to be able to research a technology that allows helotas skmishers to be hoplites, anyway I don't know if this is just interesting for the current gameplay. What do we know about them, were they good soldiers? Did they have something special?
  11. How is the patch now, agoge is no longer a technology but an xp aura for young spartans. The young spartan with the necessary xp evolves into the spartan as we know it now. And we have a third "form" which is through upgrade, which is olimpian spartiate. I preferred to upgrade to olimpian rather than a technology like Pankration, although they can exist together.
  12. https://code.wildfiregames.com/D4731 Sorry about that, I must have forgotten about this when I last updated the patch. Tnx @wowgetoffyourcellphone
  13. I thought of krypteia as a technology where young Spartans gain experience faster to actually become champions as we know in the current alpha but helots take longer to train. But I don't know how this works with hoplite tradition, it can be op. Instead of experience can gain attack. We can also remove hoplite tradition to affect champions.
  14. One more question, I add a two build limit to Syssiton but it doesn't work.
  15. Estou terminando o patch de esparta e estou com um problema. Como posso ter dois heróis simultâneos?
  16. What if we could train young Spartan champions, level 1, a little weaker than the common spearman, a little faster, cheaper, but without gathering and building ability. Added a global xp trickle aura for them. Over time they become champions as we know level 2, and then to level 3 (royal). However, this aura must be ranged, so the player is forced to make them more vulnerable. The weak point is that if you need level 2 champions quickly it's impossible.
  17. With gerusia capable of being built, heroes should be trained in it right?
  18. Really very good idea, he could be trained at 100 food in Sissitia. Sissitia may have an xp aura (garrison) for that unit, when it reaches the required xp then upgrade to champion.
  19. I agree with you here, I think technology can make this clear for the player.
  20. If we keep him as he is now and just move to p1, then his own cost is a natural limiting factor, nothing needs to change in my opinion. You have the cost of syssitia + unit, is quite expensive for a phase 1. Yes, I think mobility technology will be very welcome.
  21. Well what do we have for now: - Spartiates are trained in phase 1. The suggestion of being free but very slow to train or a limit max of units is interesting - Spartiates has upgraded to royal guard, costing a lot of metal/food, but gaining a good amount of health and attack. Max of 10 / 20 units - Sissítia phase 1 - Gerusia returns to the game in phase 1 - Helot skimisher has less attack than other skirmishers in the game, but a technology available in gerusia (krypteia) allows helots to harvest grains much faster - New movement speed technology for champion infantry - Each Spartan hero will be able to train an administrative hero or if possible with the current codes, train both at the same time - Sparta abre train helots slingers. Less attack than other slingers in the game, krypteia affects slingers too - Each barracks built gets two hoplites - Change team bonus. Allies gain an amount of gold per second and territorial gain.
