  1. Boom is just a way to play, I don't see it as a structural economic problem of 0a.d. I like how it's different from aoe for example. For me the biggest issue is the default population at 300 in 1v1 and 200 in tg. If "normal" in 1v1 games was population 100, then we would have to have much more accurate decisions than we have today. With population 100, you may not have enough resources to reach phase 3 with all weapons technologies before combat. The punishment for a not so good rush would also not be as great, as the snowball would be smaller, and you can still reach population 100 right after your enemy.
  2. Me, vali, feld, berhudar and vinme, the rest is just average/good.
  3. Segura o ctrl e aperta com o botão direito do mouse em cima do navio.
  4. I want to go back to work on the diversification of the civs to a28.
  5. Let me also propose another view on this. Is the problem a weak melee unit or a very strong ranged unit? Perhaps we should change ranged units instead of melee. It seems much less problematic to me, considering that we don't have to worry as much about damage against buildings and siege.
  6. My feedback on what I've seen in alpha 26 is that some melee units look ok to me. Cavalry seems to do its thing when they are in large numbers, champion cavalry has also been showing up well. Inf swordman rank 2 and 3 also seem pretty satisfying to me. The changes for me should be one-off and not a massive redesign. Honestly the units that seem to me to need a look are spearman, spearman, and champion infantry (general) infantry.
  7. It's a lot of changes to be tested at the same time, a lot of side effects to take into account, I think we should do it in parts. In my opinion, we should start with the movement speed of the melee inf units, and then see if the result is positive or not, then we move on to damage, armor, health, etc..
  8. As I said at the time, a24 was necessary for us to have better later alphas, and that's what happened, today we have a much better version than a23, and improving fast.

If moves units automatically, then it's a cheating.
  10. It would be one of the best additions to the game.
  11. Excuse my ignorance, what advantages do we have with Vulkan?
  12. Building attacked by catapults, become visible to the attacker.
  13. Logic understood, so Its not a bug, behavior issue, but If you have enough catapults, there's no way to repair a building, even If you put all Men there, so we also have a problem i think.
  14. Because Its shoots infinitely at the target even already destroyed, the correct behavior is stop shooting as soon as the target is destroyed and then look for a new target in vision range.
  15. Hello everyone. Maybe this problem is known, I don't know. When catapults are firing at a building, and you have no view of that building anymore, then catapults fire infinitely.
  16. Let me be more specific. The longbow has advantages against the crossbow in several aspects, greater range, greater impact, shorter firing time, the only advantage of the crossbow is that anyone with mediocre training could be able to deal some damage, therefore being strong level 1 as are, and then losing strength over the course of the game, so removing rank 2/3 looks good.
  17. Crossbow is easy to learn, just remove rank 2/3, i think Its the right way to balance.
  18. Sure, so maybe a new movement speed tech? Can help melee infantry engane on cavalry/range inf
  19. It would be interesting to have a rank 2 upgrade only for melee inf. They are weakeat units in game for a long time, so i think that helps balance things out.
  20. The changes look good, and the mod should be included.
  21. That was quick, what changes do we have for the next alpha?
  22. Champions have been dominant units in past alphas, however these units are no longer seen in the game, neither in 1v1 or TG. For me it's a big waste of material, so I'm willing to put together a patch to make them viable again and I count on everyone's opinion/suggestion to be able to put together a patch as suitable as possible. My three primary suggestions are: 1- Reduce costs; 2- Give champion units special abilities, like fire cav / immortals. That way you will have a bigger and more specific proposal to train these units. 3- Both. So what do you think?
  23. I can play this time if it's still available.
