  2. If you want an easy arch, use manjaro or anarchy. In my opinion 0ad should free all ram allocated once you get out of a game. Right now you need to restart the app. You could be using 100% ram in a multiplayer game (Jebel for example) and you can restart 0ad and rejoin and you would need a third of the ram.
  3. 0ad should run just as smooth in linux as in windows. It should only hang the computer if you run low on ram and start swapping, less than 4GB ram, such as alt tabbing 2 memory hogs like 0ad and firefox on low ram.

  5. Thank you, Vladislav. With --nosound, 0ad doesn't access the card USER PID ACCESS COMMAND /dev/snd/controlC0: root 441 f.... alsactl and OSS program runs with this module loaded snd-pcm-oss. Seems like an ALSA thing though, pretty much any program that needs audio blocks /dev/dsp. I found out ALSA comes with aoss to run old programs. Thank you.

  8. Aside from that error which appears once, it doesn't go oos on multiplayer. I think the purpose of making bolts visible has been fulfilled. I will change the rest of civs at a later date. Thanks.
  9. Thanks @Stan`, I changed 2 files for carthaginians and this is the result for athenians I used the catafalque since it seems visible enough. I get the following error though: ERROR: Failed to find matching prop point called "projectile" in model "art/meshes/props/special/catafalque_two_wheel.dae" for actor "siege_spear" Maybe I need to change the other 2 pivot files? Should I change siege files for all civs? Can I get the fuchsia dot shown in the minimap for relics for these bolts?

It doesn't matter for me if it only shows a flourescent rectangle instead of the scorpio.
  11. I want the bolt shooter red or orange or green (like the red chickens and bushes) so that I can spot it easily among an army. I use a very far zoom to play, like 250, and the arrows are completely invisible and the cart is very hard to notice. And the bolts wipe an unattended army quickly.

  13. There are Ubuntu players in lobby. State your distro and version and tag a big guy like @Stan`

  16. Box formation is good to group army, protect ranged, trap hero, etc

  18. watch replays of good players and copy, use follow player option
  19. Right now you need just a little micro. You assign unit producing buildings to a hotkey, ctrl+#. You set rally point from each building to any task. You select group with #, and train.
