So, this has been discussed in the past, but no conclusions were ever made and thus no decisions made on the design level. I think the loading screen could use some improvement, because right now it is rather static. Here is an old concept for some loading screen improvements (but is not a coherent design by any means) that I once found on the forums: Another idea I had was to have the current design with the "tips" but either have the tips rotate automatically every 10 seconds as the map loads or there can be left and right arrows that lets the player cycle/scroll through them at their leisure as they wait for the match to load. But most assuredly, I think the general aesthetics of the loading screen could definitely be improved.

I think it would be nice to make some that fit the wonder footprints, for a start.

I think there was a lot of discussion about this in the day. I like the Temple of Edfu as their wonder. That way you don't have players building a "lighthouse" in the middle of desert or something.

I would like the Gate of All Nations to finally be made the Persian wonder.

More foundation sizes and scaffolding sizes.

Update the Arabic units (Nabataean Camel Archer, Arab Javelineer) with props and textures. They currently use Persian assets.

New laptop. Game starts at 140 fps and ends up at 60 fps about an hour later. lol

Not sure where to put this. But battersea shield's baked shadows look upside down. Looks like inverted nipple. Perhaps just remove the baked shadow and rely on self shadowing. -

Delenda Est mod has Flaming Pitch as a technology. This gives your javelin dudes flaming javelins. -
Would it be possible to add some more gravitas to the male sounds? I realize these may be recorded by a young man, so it might be difficult to get a more mature sound for the voices, but I think that would help. I think the Persian voices could be a little louder compared to the Greek ones, but that can be controlled from the XML files very easily. It's great to hear more languages in the game!

Such bright colors would go great for battalions, but when you have to pick out these individual little ant-sized dudes on the battlefield such colors can add confusion since they match the player colors. (With battalions you can have other things to help you pick out your troops, like banner carriers and general organization, but with the current mosh pit combat it's all a jumble.) That's just my perspective though. -

I would leave "player color" for textiles, crests, plumes, and feathers. Stay consistent. -
The person making the video has to have all the whiz-bang stuff enabled.
