This mod is based on @nani's autociv mod, where I made some changes to the gui of the game that can help you in a heated situation: 1. A23 sound effects and amplified sound - you can hear every projectile hit and alarm. 2. All berries and fruit trees are pink - easier to spot. 3. Trees turned into vertical sticks for visibility; no canopies so that you can see anything under them; bushes are also sticks so you can spot them before trying to build anything. 4. Chickens have been replaced with blue peacocks 5. Metal are now bright yellow and shiny - easy to see and be distinguished from stone. 6. GUI tuned to a theme that I like - feel free to change it if you have the assets. I am still working on it and it is incomplete at this stage, but it already works and did allow me spot some sneaky moves from the enemy and micro more efficiently. Many thanks to nani. Usually I don't follow much the Star Wars saga. Especially now it looks to me more like a gigantic marketing operation and doesn't excite me that much but darnit!! this is probably one of the most epic trailers I've seen! Good stuff2 points

First about the name, i choose the name all my maps from regions, mountains and vulcanos on the Kamchatka peninsula in east-siberia. The objectives of this map are: to publish a random map properly (this is my first map) the artificial opponent prosper (don't get stucked and does attack all the time) fast creation of the map all player have similar opportunities, there are no random mines. Also the position of the bases are calculated geography does have an huge impact on the tactics, basically there are ridges everywhere an abundance of resources forests are so dense, that they can affect the tactics, at the same time it should not be overwhelming. my overall intention is to make as many challenging locations on the map as possible, players should find places all over the map, that are hard to take, where they can dig in Especially for the first topic i would like to have some feedback. Some insides: i use mathematical algorithms for the patterns with a random offset to make every map a little bit different. This should make the map creation fast. the ridges are a spiral from the center, the ridges are distributed evenly on the spiral with a little random offset. This applies on on side of the base you will have blockades, while there openings on another place towns and mines have a zone where ridges are flatted out and another zone where no other objects are places there are mines in proximity to the base and additional mines in places between the players, these places depend on the size of the map povorotnaya.zip1 point

Yes, that is a problem cause by my nub blender skills. I just dragged the chicken model to enlarge them and this is what I got The purpose is to make them more visible and easy to click on1 point

Single-player vs Multiplayer, me thinks either both should use a hyphen or neither, tho I admit I'm not that great in English. Also I agree with Freagarach that the center bar is not ideal. For your background it works somewhat but most existing ones will have important elements cut out. They are fine pieces of art and deserve better Maybe an approach like the bottom bar could work with a corresponding font or maybe just move those 3 buttons to roughly where they were in the original design. Guess they won't be any less prominent there than if they are dead center.1 point

@andy5995 Thank you and "Que pena" as I learned Spaniards would say here. But if the map isn't compatible with most PCs or laptops then it's no problem it's not gonna be included in the mod. As for this, I assume the map shall just further on be "downloadable" here in the forum so everyone who wants to play is able to. Although, thanks!1 point

@Stan`@YavinIt's a great looking map, but I won't include it in the community maps 2 mod. When I clicked start game, the loading got up to 100% and then my desktop froze. I switched to a terminal, and saw my memory getting gradually eaten away. 'Top' showed 40% mem usage, and 100% cpu usage. I was able to just kill the process with 'kill'. My graphics card is a GeForce GTX 1050 and my PC is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz (4 core) with 12G of RAM.1 point

Very nice work, @maroder! I must say that I liked the opaque play buttons (LTP, SP, MP) more than the solid ones now. It just cuts through the background too much now, IMHO. But maybe other feel differently.1 point

Love the refined, modernized look on version 3.1. What about having multiple background images (say a dozen or so maybe?) (especially @wowgetoffyourcellphone works) that are cycled so each time the game is run one would get a different one?1 point

Yeah, this is the best draft at the moment and according to the 80/20 rule the last tweaks to make it look perfect will take me way to much time. (And I'm out of ideas) So if someone has a different nice design idea I would really like to see it, otherwise I will probably only try some smaller adjustments like @Radiotraining mentioned for the next version.1 point

With 10 pages, I suppose the document is a serious attempt on explaining the matter. To make it more complete you could mention Athenians,Britons and Persians who are the only ones not being mentioned. The nbr. 1 rule for RTS games deserves special attention: Spent your resources. You can spend your resources to do thing to win the game, but if those resources spent them then you fail to take advantage of them. This is probably the most important rule and I think it does deserve special attention. MysticJim uploaded a video recently where a player on the losing side, there was an player that had over 10k food and 5k wood in the bank that weren't being used. If she had sent those resources to her two weaker allies, then these allies would love her very much and they would be able to spend these resources each recruit 50 women and 50 infantry for a total of 200 extra units on the team. The 3rd tip in CH4 is not highlighted in bold letters. I disagree with the 5th tip in CH4. Hack armor technologies can be ignored in some cases. Neither do I think the p3 mining upgrades are extremely useful, especially the stone mining technology. That technology cost 900 resources and it is not like you will be mining a lot of stone. Finally the last rule: Break all previous rules whenever it suits you.1 point

Uhmm a bit better thanks for trying that out! Okay, if you want a real feedback : the shape is okay, but it's still a bit too big and cumbersome in my opinion. Before it had the advantage to look more sleek and minimal with the rest. Now it really gets all the attention! i'd say that a good compromise could be a mix of both : making it look more subtle as before (smaller proportions) but i also think this rectangular shape fits better! try also with a simple rectangular without those wings. It shouldn't be "noticed", a simple shape could work just fine. It may be worth to try and see, maybe with wings can be still better though! ehehe sorry for being annoying you asked for it!! ahaha i'm kidding: do what you can. The rest is still amazing!1 point

ok now the game is running. it need to disable all other 7 player because my game crashed for some reasons. its rally rally large takes 6GB of memory and CPU load is heavy . interesting. i prefer game 1v1 or 2v2 and sometimes 3v3. maybe enable to make it configurable.1 point
