  1. You could just make a high poly plane add a wind effect and use the cloth modifier I can probably dig an old blend file where I did that for flags. Then apply the modifier and bake ao then just multiply it on whatever texture.

  4. It's server side that's why. But it shouldn't occur. Maybe some old DNS cache @implodedok ?
  5. I asked @Itms and apparently it's up to Transifex to notify them and their name will be removed from the credit if they delete their account there.
  6. Can't run the game well in a VM. Trust me I tried. Can't ask people to use VMs on Mac anyway that's even worse because of the technical gap there is ( Not saying that Mac users are dumb just that the average Mac users didn't buy a Mac to spend time fixing stuff) Dropping mac support would be terrible. It's not like deprecating the game on a platform. We will fix the game on Mac with the help of the Mac devs that came back and that might take some time yes. But if it wasn't for Mac support you wouldn't have had the Kushites.

  8. I don't think it would change anything because people don't usually read those so I would just end up copy pasting links which I find rude. True. Not really. We usually know most of it but there isn't someone that knows everything. We are not tracking our team members. So some people might go AWOL and that's fine. We have an Absence thread but not everyone think to use it, nor has the time to. We all have external life constraints.

  11. That's something I'd like to have as well. Unfortunately while Imarok is right and it takes Dev time the main issue we have is internal communication. We have members going AWOL, people working like madmen on their own but not advertising what they do and people that simply don't talk We are working on our AFK skills but it's a long way to the top if you want to rock'n'roll
  12. You can't use CodeBlocks on Windows sadly. You need visual studio. The compiler used by CodeBlocks on Windows (Mingw) can't compile the game as is...
  13. I don't have any strong opinion on how to call it and I will stick to the team decisions for that one. We really want to reduce release time between releases but the very nature of this project makes it complicated because of the team member different schedules. A lot of bad things (And some good too) happened behind the scenes these past months and we've been trying to keep the ship afloat and most of us are sorry you had to pay the price. In the current state of affairs a Mac développer came back and is helping us to bring back Mac Os 10.9 Compatibility so we can finally put this behind us and start adding stuff (At least on the art side) The current issue with Mac is that without the fix no one below 10.12 will be able to join the lobby without disabling SSL on both sides which is a GDPR requirement. We brought back the feedback server which was also a security / GDPR concern so that by knowing more about our users we can better help them (Like if nobody is using XP anymore drop that (The lobby won't work with it anymore in the next version) Me and Itms will be in Toulouse giving a talk this weekend about the game and hopefully meeting new people and potential contributors. So stay tuned. And still sorry for the inconvenience.
  14. It should indeed. Generally this occurs because You don't have enough disk space Your antivirus is scanning the save file when it's being written. Another app is using that file. Does the out of address space occurs when you are playing with AIs ? The sound error is weird though
  15. Well basically A open destination folder A list of files to add ( they will be copied to the correct folder) a generate button. I don't think there is much more than this could probably add and remove files but meh. Could also be a bash script you double click on that does the job... But I don't see the point
  16. @Bigtiger I wrote a Python3 script that auto creates skeletons files from dae if that's useful. I believe the animation guide you read is the most advanced so far. Feel free to give us suggestions. Getting animation into the game is a tricky process so you might be a little overwhelmed at first. Use variant XML files to avoid repetitions in your own files. And feel free to ask me any questions you may have. A few notes. Importing Collada animation made by anything else than blender might go wrong. Bones will be deformed at re-export etc... Better use the source files when available. If you still want to go through that process any breakthrough is welcome. I've been trying for weeks to get the deer into blender with all it's anims. The running animation is broken everywhere but in the game.
