  1. Some information: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Alpha25 https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/PortA24ToA25 https://code.wildfiregames.com/D2952 and https://code.wildfiregames.com/P225 <- This is a script to move the templates and it has some relevant lines for fixing maps. I hope it helps.
  2. The mace healer should be good to go? (With the civ dir.) The mace champion can have the "_barracks" part removed. (It'll be spearcavarly then.) The gaul champion can have the "barracks" part changed to "swordsman". If you need the kennel, you'll have to make the template yourself. That should work, yes. We didn't remove art, merely some templates.
  3. The problem is the victory conditions are set before the hero can be recruited then. So one needs to change some map scripts as well. Something like DEs hero selection screen sounds like you want. For instantly produced from the CC, one can apply a tech that reduces the train time/resources and changes the phase requirement (I do not know the latter is possible, actually).
  4. AoE-IV Agreed when adding the cruise missiles.
  5. Then there is the ANNO series, which satisfies the itch for city building but has horrible battles. ^^' I've always longed for a combination of the two (ANNO and Total War).
  6. (@Langbart did a video in that thread. ) I think your best shot is at https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Alpha25 / https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Alpha26. E.g. for the next version there is the possibility to also push items in the production queue to the front. And skimming the hotkey page, I guess. But yes, one has to dig a little (which is too much, I know).
  7. _Any_ game can only keep me interested for about a day, subsequently I start tearing it apart and tinkering with it. The latter still keeps me entertained in 0 A.D..
  8. Note that when attacking a formation, your units will attack the formations closest member. Example: Enemy has a line of archers, which form a formation, you click to attack one of them, they will all attack the closest member of that formation, not the specific unit you targetted. Which is kind of what you want, right? So if you could force your enemy to use formations, your problem is solved?
  9. Merci bien! Vielen Dank! See https://code.wildfiregames.com/D4308.
  10. How did Macedon did _not_ end up there. ^^'
  11. Maybe we should use the same abbrevations as used in-game there?
  12. One should replay the non-visual replays for consistent results, especially when one wants to investigate the pathfinder.
  13. You probably can find it somewhere already. ,,A programmer's work is merely limited by their imagination.'' It just takes time. ^^ I guess it depends on whom you ask. If you ask me, it becomes more fun, if you would ask some random competative player they might argue otherwise.
  14. It would be both complex and useless. Even if the AI does not have full vision, the functions she uses assume she has.
  15. Do note while she knows everything, she still is _very_ dumb. So not ticking that option makes it a tad fairer, I guess.
  16. Not that I know, but I do know that every time I have a match and do nothing, she only attacks with a giant army (~150 units) after a lot of minutes, instead of also rushing/attacking with smaller parties.
