  1. Armored Personnel Carrier. Hide your precious swordsmen inside, if enemy rams try to stop yours pop out, cut'em up & on ya go.
  2. When my CC was attacked and I realized I couldn't garrison my dog I made it run away; since then they're healers pets. On "Defensive" so they won't run off senselessly, but that also means they're not even attacking enemies in sight... I don't use throw-away units and go for zero losses and I extent that to my dogs.
  3. I always thought it was a deliberate decision. (Not that I wouldn't want to let my doggos inside...) @Freagarach?
  4. Just to make sure: you know that windows hides certain (important) folders/files and how you can make them visible?
  5. If you're not content with what you find I'm sure @wowgetoffyourcellphone can help you with custom icons; maybe he left a guide somewhere...
  6. A while back I was densely packed houses with two Maurya women and one could reach through the gap and build and the other went idle.
  7. Yeah, the "center of a thing" thing can lead to awkward consequences; like when your women can't see the building they're working on! (But if I'm not mistaken the Colosseum has been fixed, I should check some time.) But I strongly suspect having the loading/unloading point smack in the middle will lead to other problems.
  8. That means laying the foundation? I occasionally helped my ally building a structure, is that still possible with all buildings?
  9. Maybe your antivir is preventing 0ad from writing in that folder. You could try setting an exception.
  10. You can freely watch any place and you can choose to follow a certain player. You can't jump to time marks, but if you watch the replay in ridiculous speed until you come close to the desired point it won't take too long.
  11. While I second your suggestion, your guess wouldn't explain why the dock was constructed so fast or why there suddenly was that ship; even for quick in 'n' out it would have needed to be around.
  12. Maybe you should use search pattern delta two. (joke) Do you know "attack move"? It's CTRL+Q+right click; it makes your units attack enemies they encounter on the way. That way you don't have to watch them the whole time. I don't think I've spent more than two real minutes with that, on turtle speed. I try to exterminate thoroughly and you kinda get an idea where those women might be (either a remote forest or a place where they can build a port as a last resort). Let me tell you a story from before the war when you had to hunt down orphaned fishing boats...
  13. The AI always knows where you are/has a fully revealed map (cheater). Maybe it has blocked itself with a building.
  14. Just try it. I don't know how the AI will behave when it has to use ships. Think it's been a while since I saw an enemy warship; when I do I upgrade mine to the max and try to outnumber them 3/1.
  15. Petra is a landlubber. A while back the AI tended to spam ships to a point where they couldn't move. Dozens of ships. Maybe the fix overdid it a bit.
  16. Gauls have the Harvesting Machine. You can see it in the structure tree, or from there in the civilization overview. I'd expect the rotating options to be the same as in-game, you can look up those in the hotkeys. The merc camp is for example used on "Wild Lake" and is the base for a Gaia army; nasty if you stumble upon it unprepared. If you capture it it can be used as barracks.
  17. I never liked how formations behaved so I just play without them. Made me furious when formations were set as default until I figured out how to get rid of it.
  18. I don't know about deleting old attachments, but have you tried dragging files into the editor or using the choose files... at the bottom of the editor?
  19. "These Roman swords were hidden in a Dead Sea cave—and they’re remarkably well preserved The astonishing discovery in Israel of four swords from nearly 2,000 years ago evokes ancient rebellions and offers unprecedented opportunity for scientific investigation." They seem pretty protective about their pics so I won't post any here: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/premium/article/roman-swords-spatha-cave-bar-kokhba-dead-sea
  20. You can change the players' colors in the match setup.
  21. Not super important/war deciding, but on "Fortress" the starting resources don't spawn prettily; with the food treasures I really couldn't see that there's five. (There's been another issue in the courtyards with buildings where a workaround has been implemented.)
  22. Mmm. That can lead to a unit slowly being killed without dishing out retribution; it's not like they're fleeing into a secure building. I usually have my CS on aggressive, but that also depends on what work they're doing and at what point of the map they are. But I agree that the player should handle it. Besides the text warning there's also the flashing on the minimap, one should look at that frequently imho.
  23. I use the standard hotkeys and if I want to add certain units to a group I select & add them. ^^
