We don't have to cite excerpts. And as long as those books are legally available to the public in any way (store, online, at/from library...) I think it's fine to name them as source.

Idea to improve capturing (dunno if it would be possible)

Was there any reason or discussion? I wanted to know what other ppl think so I made a poll: -

@wowgetoffyourcellphone I'm not talking about human players. I don't know if there are different AIs controlling the behavior of computer players/units; all I know is that enemy units switched between hacking and waving at towers depending on me garrisoning/un-garrisoning. -
At least players shouldn't feel left alone if they try to help. I don't know if @Norse_Harold could answer to any of this?

Ptolemies and Seleucids have a Klerouchia (military colony); I guess it's a matter of balancing. The wikipedia entry contradicts many points from your posted description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleruchy

Wasn't he a dev and resigned because of creative differences? Don't know about his standing with the rest of the team.

Isn't that already the case? I remember uninvited visitors changing their behavior depending on my tower guys being inside or out. -
Don't know. I think the behavior of the AI largely depends on knowing the map (attacking, new CCs...). Also don't know if we have someone currently working on AI. Maybe @Freagarach knows more?

From A26 to A27 RC1 the default behavior of units was changed from capture to destroy; which do you prefer?

How to make units take over buildings instead of destroying them
Gurken Khan replied to Zpy's topic in Gameplay Discussion
In a26 capturing was the default, it was (unfortunately) changed in a27 RC1; press [C] while ordering to attack and they will capture. (Like all hotkeys you can look it up & change it in the hotkeys section of the menu.) -
@Stan` Thanks for all you've done for the project. Hope you "recover" well and I wish you all the best for the future!

Just a guess, but as they're called "militia" just regular dudes (citizens/peasants) called in times of conflicts?
-
Maybe take it here: Guess screenshots/logs would be helpful.

When I check the manual part of the menu, there are some error.

Welcome to the forums. Wild guess: your antivir is restricting access to files. (You could try disabling it for a test or setting exceptions for 0AD.) If you keep encountering problems your logs would be helpful; here's how to find them: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths- 1 reply

Random map way too random when created in the Editor...
Gurken Khan replied to krt0143's topic in Game Modification
Wishing you success! (And glad to hear it's going to be optional...) -
I don't think @krt0143 - for example - was received too badly; his questions were answered and (a lot of) his ideas were taken seriously. It appears that "we want to be exclusive" and talking about "all those nasty, annoying, unwelcome noobs!" are over-dramatizations. Ofc not all of their opinions/suggestions/ideas were welcomed with open arms; but that's to be expected, especially when delivered in an undiplomatic way.

Maybe it was supposed to work like "Extinct Volcano" (I believe), where after some time indeed the whole map is flooded; and maybe that script was a placeholder. All speculation, ofc. Maybe sometime there will be a volunteer who cleans up this artifact... -
Yeah, it's a resolution problem plus we don't have anyone (?) working on UI currently.

autociv hotkeys in base game
Gurken Khan replied to BreakfastBurrito_007's topic in Gameplay Discussion
That sounds nice, but it should be visually clear that they're part of the barracks and not actually guys of yours. -

I feel this is contradictory. If you have a button that searches and selects buildings for you then you don't have to do it manually; hence less actions for you. Apart from that I don't really have a strong opinion. Guess it could be considered quality of life and be fine with me. (I only do single player, so I don't have to be afraid something gives someone an advantage.)
