  1. Yeah, I know the US are... "special". Also in a lot of European countries you can vote from 16 (depending which election). But I still think the 18th birthday is outstanding in most countries.
  2. Hi @Euclid, welcome to the forums. Nah, that's easy (or medium difficult). There's vids on youtube where they try to beat 1v5 very hard AIs. I'm a casual player and usually go with one ally against four medium enemies (putting them in two teams spiked the difficulty, haven't tried with one enemy team of four). With random behaviors that can play out very differently, from everyone waiting at their base for you to all four attacking you simultaneously... The AI also doesn't play optimally, they sometimes have idle units and often go very long, inefficient ways with their units; so one doesn't have to play perfectly, either. I guess you're not at your peak yet. Have you noticed the different gathering rates of the units? Knowing that helps your eco. There's plenty of guides for build order, eco... Or just ask here. Maybe this thread gives you ideas of how to counter eles:
  3. Our friend is now 18 years old! In most countries that means voting, driving, drinking...
  4. Yes, my friend, I'm certain your enemies tremble with fear.
  5. Yes, I had enemies just walk/ride by. And no, if you fully garrison it. Of course then it's not an unforeseen attack...
  6. What tecs? They got removed, so should that part of the description.
  7. Will to fight gives ships +25% damage, I feel the Han are lacking in that department.
  8. It's even worse for the Han, their special building costs 300 stone and 300 iron. And since I overwhelmingly go for cav champs that hurts every time.
  9. I see we still have trees inside walls. (Ofc the only annoying thing is that it keeps my workers from working.)
  10. I didn't really think the Athens heroes on offer are too hot, but I took the one who offers buffs for soldiers in his formation. Since I have this clunky mess off by default I needed to reset the formation every time I added units. The stupidest thing was that they forgot their orders every freaking time I set the formation!
  11. Do deleted rice paddies have the outline of deleted fields? Because the marks on the ground are much bigger than the paddies. I would like the marks to be the same size as the paddies.
  12. Maybe they were the spectator themselves (on a second device).
  13. OK. I wanted to use the opportunity to mention the three dots to report because I feel it could be known more widely.
  14. I can only guess what happened here, but if people just used the report function (check the three dots at the top right of every post!) they wouldn't need to quote anything.
  15. What is supposed to block a conquest victory? Is it only builder units/buildings that could spawn those? Because I just spent some time hunting down an elusive minister. He can build and train nothing, so I don't know why a civ isn't defeated if he's the only thing left. On a related note: I don't think I ever saw a Han AI player build a ministry. They probably don't know how to use them. The only benefit they gain would be a small eco boost around where the starting minister stands.
  16. Hi @541ky, welcome to the forums. You do realize this is a FOSS project?
  17. Some more thoughts in this recent thread:
  18. I'm on a27 RC1 but I know that I have (not) played Pompeii in earlier versions.
  19. Kurus followed an order I gave him; he finished training the Immortals while doing so. When the Immortals spawned they did some useless stupid BS (poking at fields) instead of doing the same thing as Kurus. Is it clear now?
  20. I wish "children" would inherit orders. If, for example, father Kurus gives birth to Immortals while he is capturing something or (attack) moving somewhere, I wish they would join in right away. Sure, it's also great if they poke at fields until I give them a more reasonable order, but... I like that labor/training pauses if he's at sea/in a ship. I wondered what the fate of the immortals would be if spawning and sailing coincided.
  21. May 2025. jk, it's not talked about*. After ten (?) years our project lead @Stan`has retired. I don't know if the devs are pursuing to elect a succession, there hasn't been communication with the community*. We're traditionally somewhat short on devs, so I'm feeling it's up in the air at the time being. *as far as I'm aware
