  1. Just try it. I don't know how the AI will behave when it has to use ships. Think it's been a while since I saw an enemy warship; when I do I upgrade mine to the max and try to outnumber them 3/1.
  2. Petra is a landlubber. A while back the AI tended to spam ships to a point where they couldn't move. Dozens of ships. Maybe the fix overdid it a bit.
  3. Gauls have the Harvesting Machine. You can see it in the structure tree, or from there in the civilization overview. I'd expect the rotating options to be the same as in-game, you can look up those in the hotkeys. The merc camp is for example used on "Wild Lake" and is the base for a Gaia army; nasty if you stumble upon it unprepared. If you capture it it can be used as barracks.
  4. I never liked how formations behaved so I just play without them. Made me furious when formations were set as default until I figured out how to get rid of it.
  5. I don't know about deleting old attachments, but have you tried dragging files into the editor or using the choose files... at the bottom of the editor?

  8. Not super important/war deciding, but on "Fortress" the starting resources don't spawn prettily; with the food treasures I really couldn't see that there's five. (There's been another issue in the courtyards with buildings where a workaround has been implemented.)
  9. Mmm. That can lead to a unit slowly being killed without dishing out retribution; it's not like they're fleeing into a secure building. I usually have my CS on aggressive, but that also depends on what work they're doing and at what point of the map they are. But I agree that the player should handle it. Besides the text warning there's also the flashing on the minimap, one should look at that frequently imho.
  10. I use the standard hotkeys and if I want to add certain units to a group I select & add them. ^^
  11. The main counter against rams is: blades. If you have access to them build swordsmen; I've seen players garrison them in strategic locations just to counter rams. Ofc sword cav has advantages over pedestrians. But here comes a special counter tactic: women! With their daggers they actually damage rams significantly, and if you swarm them rams will have difficulties reaching their targets.
  12. Did you ever play around with the game speed? (Via the clock symbol in the top right corner.) I play on turtle speed (0.1x), mainly because I don't like losing units and my units are friggin' stupid; so I can leisurely zoom around, build, micro...

  14. Huh? If I just want to check out something in p3 I use gift from the gods and just go about it; you wrote you didn't want to play 15 minutes before you can check something... Just so you know: I'm reporting you to the moderation team.
  15. I don't know how feasible it is, but I would be in favor of total transparency when not using standard 0ad code. Some mods show up visibly but as I understand it's also possible to hide all kinds of cheats; I don't think that's good.

  18. While a TG rating might be good it helps zero with new accounts (noob or smurf).
  19. It sounds nice to give the AI more character. I think right now the default setting is random if the AI behaves aggressive, defensive or balanced; I don't know how your suggestion exactly would influence that. The AI being able to surrender also sounds nice, although I'm fine with them hanging on to their life as long as possible; worst thing to happen right now is to check if there's a woman standing around in the woods or if some of them went off to build a dock somewhere... I don't know how difficult or expensive their ability to surrender might be.

  21. To clarify: is this without running 0AD? Glancing over your logs nothing caught my eye, but I'm not really a techie. Last idea I have is to disable mods and then see if the game runs better.
  22. @MarcusAureliu#s It wouldn't hurt if you'd upload your logs, per chance there's something in the hardware we can catch.
  23. If you say everything gets slow I doubt you will find the solution within 0ad. I'd recommend a fresh install of your OS. Alternatively look again for malware, update drivers, kill all processes you can.
