  1. Units seem to default to aggressive stance when they advance due to rigorous training. At least my kush spearmen changed their behavior in the barracks. Think I preferred if they kept their assigned stance.
  2. Yeah, sorry; maybe I was a bit too snarky. It was easy for me to search because I remembered seeing that error message. Anyway, glad your problem was solved. hf,gl
  3. I can't read shoot on that screenshot. Generally it's a good idea when reporting a bug/problem to include the logs; here's how to find them: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths I did a forums search for you (hint, hint); other people with that problem were fine when they downloaded the community mod or disabled regicide. HTH
  4. @Grautvornix Moin! Might have other ideas what you could do with your beans...
  5. IIRC @Stan` said resizing is just not possible. I don't know how realistic it is to expect it in the engine, but good luck with your hacking efforts.
  6. This seems contradictory for me. Walls are useless against soldiers because they can destroy them AND soldiers attacking walls is useless? (I like to use attack move to prevent my troops from attacking structures.) Ranged cav?
  7. @chrstgtr Thx for the background. As others wrote before I as well don't think it'll change the meta. I played plenty of games in a27rc1 and ofc I adjusted. And still think it sucks.
  8. Personally the change feels like less quality of life as it needs more clicks without adding anything for me.
  9. Ok. So I ping @implodedok and see if anything comes out of it.
  10. Yes; I only wanted the opinion of the first ten people. No, of course not. I don't know what the problem is. I think it registered one vote more than yesterday. Maybe Invision takes some hours now to update the results? I'll look again later to see if there's a change. Do we currently have someone who is handling the websity side of this site?
  11. Did you try to vote just before posting? If so the poll seems indeed frozen, because those are the same numbers I saw yesterday. Don't know what I can do about it.
  12. Halloween is coming up. Probably one of the evilest things I read.
  13. We don't have to cite excerpts. And as long as those books are legally available to the public in any way (store, online, at/from library...) I think it's fine to name them as source.
  14. Was there any reason or discussion? I wanted to know what other ppl think so I made a poll:
  15. @wowgetoffyourcellphone I'm not talking about human players. I don't know if there are different AIs controlling the behavior of computer players/units; all I know is that enemy units switched between hacking and waving at towers depending on me garrisoning/un-garrisoning.
  16. At least players shouldn't feel left alone if they try to help. I don't know if @Norse_Harold could answer to any of this?
  17. Ptolemies and Seleucids have a Klerouchia (military colony); I guess it's a matter of balancing. The wikipedia entry contradicts many points from your posted description: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cleruchy
  18. Wasn't he a dev and resigned because of creative differences? Don't know about his standing with the rest of the team.
  19. Isn't that already the case? I remember uninvited visitors changing their behavior depending on my tower guys being inside or out.
  20. Don't know. I think the behavior of the AI largely depends on knowing the map (attacking, new CCs...). Also don't know if we have someone currently working on AI. Maybe @Freagarach knows more?
  21. From A26 to A27 RC1 the default behavior of units was changed from capture to destroy; which do you prefer?
  22. In a26 capturing was the default, it was (unfortunately) changed in a27 RC1; press [C] while ordering to attack and they will capture. (Like all hotkeys you can look it up & change it in the hotkeys section of the menu.)
