  1. The other day I had the tip shown that higher ranked units fight better; best to my knowledge that's not the case anymore, they have more health and are better at capturing now. Maybe that could be rewritten.
  2. Depending on the angle the moat around my Hanging Gardens looks overgrown.
  3. I find berries integrated in mineral deposits annoying. Two women finally found an access point while the third stands around uselessly. In my experience that also leads to traffic congestion where the gatherers loaded up can't back off because others are pushing from behind trying to get to that resource. Micro I could do well without. Edit: It got even more annoying as the workers always "lost" those berries, turning to others instead. Reminds me of Bugthesda level physics. savegame-1369.0adsave
  4. Well, the opportunities for archeological sites (and maybe exhibitions) are pretty unique, some structural reinforcement here, maybe some makeup there... Apart from propping up dinosaur skeletons I can't think of any field where you can make your findings mass compatible in a comparable way. Glory to our capitalist system! Apart from paywalls and copyrights and the likes sites like Pompeii and Göbekli Tepe also have entrance fees and shops... Would be much harder to cash in on the lifecycle of the fruit fly or something like that.
  5. The roads and stilts rammed through the ancients structures did look unusual/wrong to me. Over 75% of Pompei is excavated and I'm under the impression that I quite frequently read about updates from there. Can't say that about Göbekli Tepe. I don't agree with not fully exploring significant historic sites; if every part of that exploration needs to involve invasive means and if everything needs to be dragged to light and air might be a different discussion. I tried to look for more details on that exclusive deal for the company but didn't find much; currently I'm not suspecting anything more sinister than "normal" corruption/nepotism.
  6. Of course (and it was), but that's little consolation when all I really wanted to do is build a warship there.
  7. The small boat I tried to build in that pic is of course the mighty Pontos, which - unlike the Longos and the Nauson - I couldn't produce at that dock.

  9. btw I'd also like cadavers to be tinted if you wave a foundation over them, so that it's clear if a building buries that food source.

Some Linux depositories lag behind considerably...   14. As the installer isn't signed Windows refuses to open it; do you still get the chance to override that decision manually?

  17. @wowgetoffyourcellphone I've only seen it written once in a forum reply that civs with MCs can only build CCs when they have a hero (don't know if had counts, too). I think that should be mentioned somewhere.
  18. No, I was talking about in-game comments. You can choose if it is spec only or all; I don't know what else, I don't do MP/chat. Sometimes there's chat between players and specs; it can be disrupting but that's up to everybody involved.
  19. Those players probably aren't spooked by certain someones looking at their gaming but are much more likely unwilling to put up with their comments.
  20. I found the word and a number. If that's what you guys need good to know. Did you get something mixed up? I see no connection between me saying my guys skipped a step of the commands I gave with rally points and your links about starting resources.
  21. So can anyone of the people/three-letter-agencies that downloaded that save tell me if it is possible to get the seed from it?
  22. Just read in a German blog (https://blog.fefe.de/?ts=9831c42b ) that people had to add bot filters in their public git repos because loads of shoddy "AI" startups were barraging them with expensive requests. I have no idea if we're in a comparable situation; does anybody have an eye on that?
  23. Not all ships allow all units as passengers. When I want units to board a warship I select them, click the "Garrison" button (alternatively you can use the hotkey [CTRL]), and then click on the ship.
