AFAIK when "attack moving" they do.

As I understand it units don't prefer houses but will attack anything in range, and if it's only houses they will attack those; and once they started with a task they want to finish it if they don't receive new orders. The exact reason why I play on turtle speed. I think queuing was a bad idea, just making an attack-move probably would've been better. With ctrl-groups and area-selections I usually have no problem getting all my units to do what I want.

Did you leave the game and continued with a save? Then replays won't work, which I find disappointing.

Sure. First of all, I was quoting the FAQ, maybe you'd find them useful. Did you try disabling post-processing? The game logs events and saves them in the logs folder, including problems/errors. The contents looks like this: If you'd zip that folder and attach it to your reply the tech-savvy guys here could look at it; how you find that folder on your OS is described in the link I posted earlier.
