This used to be a problem only when you were flank and your next door enemy had the same civ. Tough luck. The current behavior was introduced in a24 I think (what was the rationale?) and does more harm than good. It's customary to quickly double click and destroy captured buildings to hinder the enemy from rebuilding. And some people play with a default zoom of 300-500 to have more control of his base/units.

LOL They copied that too. First I saw (a LONG time ago) spamming champs was boudica's old account. Merov, alekusu and others did the slinger spam. Borg did skiri squads in formation and fanatics too. Vercin's old account did mass archer cav, then liberty too. Mass camels were featured here by xfs and nigel used them a lot. Luzbel had some op combos: skirm cav+spear shield or slingers+blackcloaks. And many strategies they brought from other games and many get reinvented all the time.

Image, voice, address, IP, etc. are personal data (i.e. you can be identified and pinpointed). We share more of that information than we should already. Things like GDPR give some protection but some people keeps taking pictures and video of strangers to post in social media. A little off-topic, a classmate is a cam girl and some of her videos got 'leaked'. Now she tries to track them down and report them, not easy. Btw, a guy shared one of the videos, which is illegal, and was metoo'd by many of the coeds.

When capture was introduced, the rationale for making it the default was to let people know the new feature. So we were told back then. It was counterintuitive back then even for experienced players and is still a major problem for noobs, you have to keep reminding them to ctrl right click on 'arrow' buildings instead of suiciding trying to capture a garrisoned fort or whatever.

It's worse. A 1200 beating a 1900+ player knocks off ~100 points from the top player, who has to painstakingly win 20 something games vs top rated players to regain his previous rating.
