Well I guess it can be reused anyways so that's not a loss. Not sure about the blacksmith sketch though. I remember a blacksmith I met in coventry telling me that having a forge outside is the best way to get rust everywhere when the morning comes. -

Can be done but needs extra work, basically you need to make every anim for the reins, (walk, run, idle, death, attack)

Macedonian Siege Workshop and Celtic/Iberian Blacksmith
Stan` replied to Mythos_Ruler's topic in Art Development
Well the old team used to use it more, probably to get a more playable game in the early state of it. Now, the art team tend to keep stuff away from the game until it's finished (ie : anims, eyecandy ...) That's just a more qualitative approach. -

Is that a stone fortress in the middle ? Maybe we should add the ability to make fences to this civ. I also see a potential trade cart, and some eyecandy that could be made for scenarios. -

Maybe @Enrique can use those dunno. -
I guess that was the later I always hated the fact that the texture hasn't got an uniform size on the mesh and therefore makes the arms lower resolution than the body.

@SeleucidKing Just type @ and the first letter of the person you wanna tag. A dropdown will appear

The question you must ask yourself is what can you do ? And then what do you want to do ? It's always better to work on something you like for you generally produce better work. There are trees to be made animals... Mods need some models to =) If you are more specific I will be able to find you something. There are Tasklists around to =)

Yeah i know I was just wondering why the sleeve pattern was bigger =)

@Enrique Any plans to add Jos3bv's anims ?
-
It's planned but not implemented yet.
-
Nice, any reason you didn't make it uniform ?
-
I have been working on it for some time, to actually update it using python and LaTeX, but I never managed to finish it. See http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ticket/1840 I have the files somewhere, but for now what you will get is unit stats at best and buildings (I'm not Qwertz/Kosmo)

Every art stuff needs some reviewing and some treatment before they get into the game. This is a pretty time consuming process, and it's sometimes biased by ones preferences. So I guess the art leader didn't have time to check them out

Back in Coventry early this year I gave reference to this project, so we might see some students coming by next year.
