I've been reading possible generic places. Places to burn incense. Places for animal sacrifice (altars). Sacred trees. Rarer but not scarce, places with curative water, thermal water or hot springs. Places to consult oracles or seers.2 points

This thread makes me think that an experience-boost-aura hero would be pretty cool. Although the Spartans and Athenians basically already get that for their spears.2 points

New random map created by me and @Jammyjamjamman, adapted from the Corinthian Isthmus 2v2 skirmish map. Available in v0.25.7 of CM2. Bases start with 1000 stone and 1000 metal next to their CC instead of 5000/5000. Mines are placed randomly but so far, they seem to be available very close to the territory borders. I'll make changes if necessary.1 point

I recently upgraded to a25 and was messing with Atlas as I am converting my campaign to a25 along with the help of a few other folks. Back in a23, as I would modify the height of the map, the terrain passability overlay shown in red would be recomputed and updated after each change, which was very useful for sculpting small narrrow passages, etc. Now in a25, the overlay no longer updates, I would have to reload the map to see how my changes have affected passability. My question is, is this the same for everyone else or is it just me? I really need to figure out how to get the passability overlay to update without reloading the map, otherwise I would just lose patience1 point

the animation of buildings being destroyed looks worse on aoe4 than in aoe2... of course it was a hard standard to beat.1 point

Hi, me ( KatGor ) and my opponent ( fastOS ) took part in an 1v1 rated game on frontier. I was really close to winning but just as I have destroyed his CC he closed the game (he was the host) and I haven't received any rating. This is the first time something like this happened to me becouse usualy I only play with my friends. First time reporting! @user1 My name: thephilosopher (also the host) My opponent: Thomas13012m My opponent exited a rated game without resigning as I was in the middle of a successful invasion and knocked down his CC. He could've stuck around and fought for awhile, but the final result was in no serious doubt. Mostly I'd just like the credit for the win and the ratings points. I'm still playing my first dozen rated games or so and hoping to get a more accurate reading of my skill level. ideas are as important as the models themselves, if you have concepts, they will be useful to us. Stan, myself and others founded the CoM so that we could make the 0 A.D project more than just ideas, we train all our enthusiasts to do 2 things, either learn art or learn to moddify. From our mods came out artists for the game, Alexandermb started his work in Millennium AD. we all started as modders. very few exceptions skip that step.1 point

Actually, one way to nerf mercs (assuming we wanted to do that) could be to disable them from gaining experience at all. We could say they are hardened warriors that have reached their plateau so they start at advanced and remain that way. Just an idea1 point

It may be an issue with how the folder the mod resides in is called, as @wowgetoffyourcellphone and me found out. The folder needs to be named like the mod, sadly.1 point

Minor patch to bugfixes and feedback mentioned by @Micfild All champion chariots were bugged, fixed Hoplite / archery tradition and attack upgrades were accidentally removed, fixed Unit details were hidden from observers aswell, fixed -> the bug remains for resigning players though (unless they had researched the tech before they resigned?). Will be patched. infantry archers and cavalry archers had the same melee damage and reach, fixed field camps can now also be built inside own territory (experimental) Updated original download links.1 point

Found this on Reddit. Two days after launch it's already 13th played title on Steam. Like it or not, is anyway destined to be the next "big thing" for a while. At least is having a good momentum in the competitive arena. I see this as an opportunity more than a menace to 0ad. It means that there's hunger for good old rts games out there, and I think it's a solid alternative to commercial titles with boisterous marketing teams but a bit of less soul in it1 point

Today I tried to test if paypal donation is working in 0AD, i am from india. I was just testing if it will work and I was not able to send the money. what if this is a global scenario. I don't know if the issue is for me alone. but I thought I should report in case you didn't notice. CREDIT CARD OPTION TEST WORKED ONLY PAYPAL HAS ISSUE. I tested paypal again after successfully testing with credit card option, since I had to enable international transaction in my account. had to make sure. I think this is an issue from paypal.0 points
