Sooo... The campaign will include a tutorial? Replace the tutorial? In my mind "tutorial" and "campaign" are different things; of course it could be combined. But I think it would significantly lower the replayability of a campaign if it included a lengthy "pick some berries, collect some sticks" foreplay. Maybe if the tutorial were a skippable prequel? -

I believe it depends on the map what res they provide. On "Cycladic Archipelago" for example it can be everything IIRC.

Poll: Should shipwrecks be gatherable only by merchantmen?

Really? I believe to remember not being able to. Maybe someone who knows the code can chime in. Frankly I don't like the idea of combat ships not being able to pick stuff from the water. By what rationale? How would that be relayed to the player? Just so that scouting ships have an extra use doesn't convince me. And I also don't wanna scout with fishing boats or send them ~halfway across the map to collect something. -
I assume someone at some point thought this would make sense/be a good idea and it was implemented thusly. I think it's BS. I made a poll:

Currently treasures from shipwrecks can only be collected by merchantmen. Do you think we should keep that restriction or get rid of it? It could be changed to make all ships able to do this or even all units that can reach it; after all there's been plenty of incidents where ships that ran ashore were plundered by people on foot.

In the tip about treasures, can we mention merchantmen? I don't think it's obvious/intuitive that only they can collect from shipwrecks. Tbh I think we should get rid of that restriction. Apart from being inconvenient I absolutely see no sense in it. Also, as shipwrecks also are found in the middle of oceans I think we should get rid of "on the shore".

Nobody jumped on the sad trombone, but how about a sad shell trumpet? I actually think the descending tones, drawing out the last, deepest tone would be a good structure. Do have something deeper than a shell trumpet? I feel it should stand out and sound meaningful, and if it is played only a couple of times per game we don't have to restrain ourselves too much. -
Building walls is sooo effing annoying and frustrating. (When it's not just building on flat ground with no enemies around.) "Naturally" I can't rebuild the segment that got destroyed at the end of the wall. Can somebody tell me why I can't build those two segments previewed here? Looks to me like I should be able, but when I click it's just nothing, no foundations laid. savegame-1502.0adsave

@Grautvornix The "flooded areas" are the expanses of water without which the strip of land in between wouldn't be an isthmus; and yes, those buildings are built on ice. (I used to avoid that because I wouldn't want to build on ice irl, but whatever makes sense strategically...)

On the one hand I like that the campaigns would be connected. On the other hand I think it's debatable if we really want to hard-lock the later campaigns behind the earlier ones. Do we really want to tell players in which order they can play them? Why not let them pick what they play or in which order? -

I think there are portraits of allied heroes next to your own hero portrait. You battle lions etc. too, right? I'd just go for a poignant default message not accounting for fringe cases, e.g. the player killing their hero themself. -
