  1. @AbuzDo you happen to play on a laptop? They usually have two GPUs and for some reason the game often runs on the integrated instead of the dedicated GPU.
  2. @maortovI think your chances to get help would be much higher if you just had specific questions or problems. Right now it sounds like you have an idea and expect people to make that game for you from scratch, while the people here have more than enough to do with 0AD. What parts of the development would you do?
  3. I think the fortress would be less boring if it could be built in neutral territory and could produce champs. Weren't a lot of fortresses built in areas not otherwise controlled by the builders?
  4. @AIENDThank you, and yes, I figured as much. I thought they may elaborate why stone and how much. As it stands, I don't find the argument very compelling.
  5. @Philip the SwaggerlessI have no idea, but maybe the Mauryan teacher can teach you something, if you can find out what he is doing in the forge. Good luck!
  6. I admire yours ability to see via doves; you're probably drug infused shamans. ;P
  7. I think it would be cool if those two units could be additionally built at ports and ships, not exclusively.
  8. I agree, but that would mean for me that we have even more freedom in our decision. Do we want a buy-in cost or not, do we want a dedicated building or not...
  9. Is there more evidence for the other structures or is it all artistic license? Barracks? Did they have standing troops and dedicated buildings for them? Stables? Did they build structures for the horses or were they kept outside and every rider took care of his own equipment? CCs?
  10. For Cartography maybe sth like the current Diaspora icon (without those arrows); you know, sth looking like a map. Although seeing in real time what your ally sees makes me think of attachés or emissaries. For me Diaspora hints at something external, while Social Contract to me sounds like sth internal; just like Principes du droit politique. Maybe sth in the direction of Economic Agreement?
  11. @BreakfastBurrito_007Yeah, especially since from the new players nobody will expect the smurf inquisition.
  12. That's one of their civ bonuses: Sun-dried Mud Bricks 'Houses and Economic Structures -40% wood cost and health.'
  13. @alreRight, but that doesn't make it clear to me why the athenian cav uses swords. History, differentiation, compensation?
  14. Interesting question. When I look around (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippeis ) I find all kinds of weapons, like bows, swords and spears (used as lance or javelins). What do our historians have to say on this matter? @Thorfinn the Shallow Minded @Genava55

  16. I'm not familiar with autociv, but if it didn't change the healers' behavior they will flee regardless of the group. The only stance they're not fleeing is 'stand ground' (downside being that they have to be microed, because they also won't move up to units to heal them).
  17. I suggest Zapata! I wanted to vote for 'Zen', as it was suggested, but realized it's not on this messy list; not so much because this alpha again teaches us patience by waiting for it, but because it is a well known word the world over. I went for Zhang Qian then instead (again, expecting the Han to be included).
  18. Better, although we don't have a civ in the game representing them. If the Han are included in a26 (which I guess they will) then I'd vote for a term relating to them. (The Han could also be politicized in current contexts.)
  19. Definitely not 'Zelensky'. No relation to 0AD's time period.
  20. I thought some of you might be interested in exchanging archaeological news even if they are not closely connected to 'our' civs. So today I start with King Tut's 'space dagger': https://nypost.com/2022/02/24/archaeologists-say-theyve-finally-solved-the-mystery-surrounding-king-tuts-space-dagger/ It's believed this dagger was made from meteoroid iron in the 14th century BCE and was a gift from the king of Mitanni to Amenhotep III.
  21. @EmaczYou should really attach the crashlog.txt and crashlog.dmp files. (Wild guess: you're on a Windows laptop and some automated update changed your settings to the wrong GPU.)
