  1. 'Peacekeepers' sounds so promising! And I'm sure the US would do a great job at state building and mediating between the various ethnic and regional groups; like they always have.
  2. Maybe that could be a way the soldiers were able to cross a river. (Historical references?) Otherwise I don't really see them do it with their armors and weapons.
  3. Nothing. Nothing to see, please just swim along.
  4. While I could agree on the mentally handicapped part I don't know why you need to call Drumpf a girl. Donald Trump has described climate change as "a hoax," but petitioned to build a wall to protect one of "the greatest golf courses in the world" in Ireland from rising sea levels.
  5. Getting rid of 1% of the pop could do a lot for the climate. https://gettotext.com/oxfam-study-claims-the-super-rich-are-the-ecological-vandals/
  6. I'm strongly in favor of calling the release after a26 beta... I guess the devs don't see it as a polished game yet, and a lot can be done, of course. But seeing that corporations publish unfinished - or even unplayable - versions, I don't think we have to be overly modest. Just call it beta, still leaves all freedom and yet signifies progress.
  7. Yeah, maybe I haven't experimented enough with formations. When I tried some it didn't seem to organize the units in a helpful way, so I just kept to mosh & micro.
  8. If we want to keep the planet habitable less oil should be burned, so oil shortage sounds like a good thing. The market will fix it! And come up with other alternatives.
  9. I never play with formations, all my experiences have been terrible. Really caught me off guard when auto formations were added with a25 version. (WHY?) They currently don't help with fighting, they harm marching and gathering. Historically CS had military training and were fighting in formations. I'd prefer if there was an other way to repair formations than making it champ exclusive.
  10. I wouldn't know. >< Still I think it's nice that they counted 0AD as a new game, granting massive exposure. btw Why does the a25 trailer only have ~6% of the views on yt compared to the a23 trailer?
  11. It looks like it was taken from a trailer?
  12. Does fighting uphill have a negative effect? On Ngorongoro I noticed my ranged units often do not keep a safe distance when fighting beasts...
  13. There is no such thing as too many Khans.
  14. I was always puzzled what would determine which civ could build colonies; after all, most of our civs spread over at least one (sub-)continent or more? I just learned the other day (from a youtube vid) that Nuba Villages can be build in neutral terrain; but they have territorial decay. Maybe we could expand on that idea and give all civs some kind of special colony? (I sometimes mainly build a colony just to get access to certain mercs.)
  15. I always thought that the Roman roster is very limited (and boring), and was wondering why that huge empire wouldn't have access to more kinds of units. So I'd welcome additions to their roster, but don't if it should be a matter of luck/captured buildings.
  16. I think a good start for this thread would be to explain what soft batallions are and how they work.
  17. I thought of that, too. Probably it would make it easier for players of earlier versions looking for that specific map. I'm not aware of disagreements about 'how maps should work', so I'd be interested to see what your suggestion thread would bring up.
  18. I'm not convinced by this historical/theoretical argument, since the same restrictions aren't imposed on the actual gameplay. For the most part the game is not about replaying historical events. I'm currently playing Kushites in Anatolia with a sub-Sahara biome; three things that don't go together historically. If Britons can conquer India they should have access to elephants (just like the historical Macedonians could have).
  19. Yeah, I think with 'Middle East' it's the same as with 'Near East'. I also thought that Cappadocia would be a good name.
  20. The description for the map says first it's in Central Anatolia then it says it's in eastern Anatolia. I find that contradictory, so I suggest to change the first sentence to 'eastern' and to delete the second. I also wonder if it's a good name, since 'Neareastern' is a Eurocentric but not a contemporary term.
  21. One has to run them in packs (I always take 10 along), put them on standground and micro them. btw I don't think healers on aggressive stance should flee at all.
  22. There was also a Woodhenge in Germany: https://www.ancient-origins.net/news-history-archaeology/4300-year-old-woodhenge-germany-revealed-public-first-time-006224 (In that context I read about another Woodhenge further south, maybe France.) Also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cahokia_Woodhenge
