  1. Actually, no. I perceived it more in a tradition known to me, which is ~European. So it wasn't hard to get for me, but obviously a lot, if not even the majority of ppl are not accustomed to this tradition. Even knowing that some gaming co.s made April 1st posts, Blizzard's still some rando corp for me. Right. Didn't get the clues. If there were any. For all I knew it could've been some eurocentric duckhead posting. Thx, yeah. I'm quite entertaining in personal contact.
  2. Don't know what the US got to do with anything. Doesn't have an entry for April 1st traditions and @Stan`s from France, if I'm not mistaken. Yeah, shame on everyone not following some rando corp's posts.
  3. Maybe add fire dmg to the black queen's attack?
  4. @Sevda https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_Fools'_Day It's considered even funnier when 'authorities' like project leaders or serious media do it. TIL the first April Fools on TV was by the BBC:
  5. Yeah, except for when we're talking about MP. Like in this thread.
  6. 1. If you have the choice and it's the difference between winning and loosing, I guess it's worth it. And if you're already losing the eco battle I guess it's tough luck. 2. If that's the case you're team mate should cover the cav aspect. Yeah, I think ppl should be free to voice their wishes. Especially since MP with older versions has its downsides.
  7. One thing I don't really understand: if you see that ppl with cav win while those without lose, why do you resist to build cav yourself? Admittedly, I'm a bit of a 'speed freak', so I had to get myself to build more pedestrians & take them along...
  8. Unfortunately I have no idea, and I forgot who our Apple guys are. When @Stan` shows up I'm confident he'll have an idea.
  9. Every device runs on an OS. Do you mean Mac OS? My guess would be that your OS or antivir got an update and it changed it so 0AD doesn't have the rights to write in the directory anymore. Maybe you could check that and give the game the necessary rights. @Stan`
  10. To me it looks like he's holding a broom. Probably would be interesting/entertaining to watch you take a Rorschach test.
  11. I have no idea about the code but maybe adding a team bonus would also be a possibility.
  12. There's also a more 'adult' interpretation of this 'riding brooms' and using potions to 'get off' stuff, but yeah... So, a new cheat code unit?
  13. I wasn't the one trying to tell you to do it differently.
  14. 'Zrump' sounds interesting. Unfortunately a search only brings up another contemporary politician I would not like as the next alpha's namesake. Yeah, this is not really a democracy; we'll be heard for consideration, but that's it.
  15. Isn't there a variant with blossoms? Maybe use only those, as they're instantly recognizable as non-wood plants. I guess fallen fruits, decals, meshes, props, whatever might be fine if they're instantly recognizable. I seriously don't think botany should be a required skill in this game, so I don't think we need more than one variant. And as one can see from the discussions about the berry bushes, subtlety and artistic ambition are not necessarily acknowledged. You can have some solitary food trees and some solitary wood trees, around the CC or in some part of your territory, and distribution of your workers or placement of a farm might depend on that; and yes, I think it would be nicer if one could see what's what without having to select a specific entity with a specific cursor state and then hover over various trees.
  16. I, too, think that apple trees look too much like regular trees.
  17. lol. For all I know the gates open for allies. Did he lock the gates? I never had allied troops stuck in my walls. I remember workers stupidly standing at walls because of ingrown trees or something, but I believe it's gotten much better in later versions.
  18. In this (short) thread are links to two versions: one from @Yekaterinaand one from @Radiotraining. I'd try that green button 'Code', download the zip and unpack it into the mods folder.
  19. I don't know which version you're referring to, but I just looked at both github links and everything seemed to be there.
  20. Unless it's a death trap? I had a few unpleasant experiences with units being trapped, that taught me to either stay out or make sure to move my whole army in to capture the CC; I'm wondering why you didn't do that. I think it would be a bit of a shame to remove the walls as they are unique to this civ, and since I sometimes exploit having a stupid villager opening the gates for me I'm also not really convinced of your second proposition either.
  21. Maybe it's the AIs of the thousands of animals?
