  1. Unit costing 3 resource is a unneeded complication that better games have avoid. Also, keep in mind "taxes" in these time are not only paid in coin. In fact I would imagine to say that most tax paid in something other than coin.
  2. Not sure if riggt topic but I think the "Syrian" archer should be the Neocretan Archer. with that in mind the helm could be a hellenistic variant instead if tge eastern helmet that should go in the Imperial Roman times.
  3. Have 3 capture anim variations, like the ones in DE. They play these capture animations when capturing. Building player color flashes back and forth as being captured. Can flash from player color to white and back (say, fades back and forth rapidly over about 1 or 2 seconds), or flash from player color to capturing player color (the one capturing it the most). Also, play capturing sound FX. 1-5 soldier have individual cheers and yells, 6-15 have a "small crowd" sfx, 16-30 have a "medium crowd sfx, and 31+ have a "large crowd" sfx.
  4. Yeah, Agema helmet need lot of work. "Thracian" helmet, we already have the horn thracian helmet (not sure if in Public, but is in DE)..
  5. You are testing this game like it is Beta, when many very good patches sit in Trac deprecating.
  6. These are fantasmic, enrique. Only thing I would say to you is the hoplite shield is heavy so the guy should lean backward a little bit to balance the shield.n Also, the archer should have stiffer, straighter left arm, IMHO (maybe more elevated too). Other than that I am excited.
  7. Some of the problem with a grid snap system is that the buildings are not standard sizes and do not conform to the size of the grid.

  9. Well, I have made the cataphract in DE. Can take the files from there if you wish. And you are right that the Judean slinger need a better appearance (that us Ptolemaic unit though).
  10. I think these thing need created, IMHO. Kausia cap (for some basic level units; can use for basic Macedonian units too) Seleucid-style armored war elephant (currently using mauryan armored elephant) New chariot model (instead of use Persian chariot) Some textures and models for the Arabian mercenary skimisher unit (can maybe reuse these assets for the Ptolemy Camel Archer).

  13. Hi guy. I have release the Alpha 21 Delenda Est here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/0-ad-delenda-est/downloads/delenda-est-alpha-21-release It is compatible with Alpha 21 Ulysses. The mod, like the game, is not 100% complete. It is a snapshot, like alpha 21, of the progress. I did not include the isometric config file because I decide to upload that separately for its own discussion. I know there are bugs, but let's see what bugs you guys find. Since this release will probably have lots of bug I decide not to make a huge article about it. Consider it a sneak peek for the "real" official first release for Alpha 22.
  14. They are not "new". They are attack animations with fork. They even have attack sounds. It looks exactly like attack. They are capturing the building by sticking it with a fork.
  15. It is beneficial to mix some females with the males and some males with the females, because of the female aura. Maybe someone can do the math and find a good ratio for different resource.
  16. I think the tile floors make it look civic. I would go with dirt floor.

  18. My way is more straightforward, wouldn't you agree? Anyway, it is just a thought exercise, since 0 A.D.'s system is pretty much in solidly place.
