I released 0.26.2 hoping to fix a bug quickly (though it seems I might've messed it up) but the idea is to release a bit less often that that. Thankfully, it's fairly easy to know if you haven't got the latest version from the lobby. I think our realism enjoyers would take interest in this. I don't know how this could be made multiplayer, but the graphics, design and vision for the game are awesome. Might be more of a sim than an RTS, but they will have some fighting mechanics apparently.2 points

No, to make a release one has to: Increment the mod version Run the 'release' CI job Run the 'sign and upload' CI job. The latter two tasks can only be done by Maintainers, aka me or Stan. Mh, I think that's because of the CI pipeline, but you should be able to create the merge request without it, no ? I'll give it a try with a newly created account to check how things work. We definitely don't want to force people to verify a credit card...2 points

Id advise, to remove 1 more armor from pikes, but add 30% dmg. this was my original advice on pike fix, for a26 ie from 10 to -3 and +30% dmg. dmg part is very important, as it is rn, i can snipe ranged inf, with my mele AND ranged inf togehter, totally ignoring pikes, this gives slight advnatage, to me as spear/sword civ, i believe, if i get mele dmg techs, especially. pikes can be ignored, and because of collision circles being small, they really dont blockade much space, to deny access to ranged for my mele, without unreasonable numbers.1 point

Make ptol "cheaper buildings" have proportionally less caputre points, so 35% is the amount i think, the cheapness gives op broken eco boom, coupled with food trickle early on which is less relevant, at least this will give some logical/reasonable cost since hp is already affected. so storehouses, farmsteads houses. Id even strongly advise, to make this advantage smaller, to begin with, maybe halve it at least, to 10-15% cheaper. It really is an overly unfair advantage. Make mele dmg techs affect war elephants, since ele are soldiers, get affected by armor techs, so i dont see who not mele tehcs, also im 99.9% sure this is a bug to begin with.1 point

I agree with what you have said above and was expecting a future release to fix this, so was surprised when the games started working with that release. Having tested again, I can confirm that since installing this mod, I had since changed the settings to conquest and had been playing future games with this setting. Having reverted back to hero, the error is re-occuring . I apologise for my post above as it is misleading and will delete that reply. Now, I'm gutted that I have to keep setting up each game again or I can just leave as conquest.1 point

just nerf p3 upgrades. third level upgrade alone is senselessly strong, making units 44% more effective if you combine attack and defence. if you combine all p3 forge upgrades you get a 74% increase in value of all your units. or alternatively: make third level upgrade exclusive to champions: cool but limited.1 point

No need to restart X if you have the randr extension which you are almost guaranteed to have, just write a small script that sets mode, runs 0ad, resets mode. Then use that script to launch 0ad instead. Apart from some flickering when launching or closing 0ad there won't be any side effect. Might also depend on wm/dm and sdl version, so not all that sure either that this is always true.1 point

being able to tell at a glance what type of unit (swordman, spearmen, ranged unit etc.) I think it's pretty common sense. I think this can be done via banners but as of now they are for formations including mixed units as well so don't know where to go from here. How other strategy games deal with this?1 point

I suppose Kievan Rus (879–1240) should come before the Moscovite Rus (1263–1547)? Anyway, matter of fact I suppose these 2 factions could share many buildings together . Just as current Greeks do in the main game. (You could also add Merovingians with the already Carolingians buildings and Continental Saxons - Frisians with the already Anglo-Saxon buildings). (And grant them different specific things, like different wonders lol). I'm completely interested in these new civs. Lemme know what I can help with.1 point

If you plan to add monasteries for the Rus, you should know that they were the best elaborated and constructed building in the city and even also served as a residence for the governors and their monks who would also have the role of advisers. You should also know that these monasteries were built from the beginning by Byzantine architects after the Christianization of the Rus, so they should share certain similarities, it was not until late in the 11th century that the Rus monasteries acquired their own characteristics such as that white that characterized its monasteries but still following the Byzantine architectural design.
