Hellenizing the Ptolemies

Possibly, we could make the military buildings more hellenic, but keep the civilian structures Egyptian.  That could be a nice divide, because the majority of the civilians were still Egyptian, but the military was Greek Styled, if not mostly Greek in manpower

As one recommendation, add a depiction for temples of Serapis.  Serapis was an important symbol of Ptolemies themselves.  There are a few visual references to how they looked such this coin for an Alexandrian part.  While this doesn't need to be a standard replacement, I think that having it as a variant or even just and map editor prop would be good.

The temple of Serapis at Alexandria was quite famous and renown. I know a depiction about it, what do you think @Anaxandridas ho Skandiates ?

My mistake, the maquette is a roman model of the temple

They do not belong in Ptolemaic cities. Obelisks are something typical of the Egyptian Middle Kingdom (c. 2000-1200 BC), when they were erected in pairs near the entrance of major temples; there are some later examples, but obelisks never were as common as altars, columns, or statues. In Roman times emperors started shipping numerous centuries-old obelisks to Rome, but that's outside 0 A.D.'s timeframe.

Hopefully someone can remove those obelisks from the civic centre and military colony.

The obelisks aren't the problem, it's the civic center itself. It looks like a serious misinterpretation of a temple's pylon.

In the Ptolemaic Dynasty, obelisks continued to be made, and old ones re-used, both large and small.

Pliny apparently even describes Ptolemy II erecting an obelisk...

So in short, the obelisks are fine.

I don't think the design of the CC is a problem from that standpoint. It just represents some generic civic building near the center of town. Nothing specific. The only problem really is just the same problem as the whole set.

The set itself is so gorgeous that it would be a shame to remove it completely from the game. Perhaps they can be renamed and used in a Jebel Barkal-esque skirmish or random map set in Egypt.
