  1. Try blades. Swordsmen, sword cav, in dire need even women with their daggers.
  2. Pretty solid article. Ofc I could nitpick some of the guidance it offers. I find these indents really ugly. I think all text lines should start exactly like the header, currently there are three positions. Who does something like this? Who thinks it looks good? Who is our German maintainer? I was wondering if "Gameplay" was an oversight or a decision.
  3. Yes, it was squares and not icons. Yes. Toggling icons makes the chicken squares appear/disappear. Guess they were just covered by the icons. Maybe I'll mess with icons.sizescale a bit.
  4. It might have nothing to do with your problem, but I see that you're not on RC2. If you updated we could at least be sure it's related to the latest version.
  5. 366 MiB free seems very little; what's eating your RAM? Can you zip & upload your logs folder? Then we could look for errors. https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths
  6. @Dove of Arc This thread is about the SVN version which shouldn't concern you. Let's see what we can do in the other thread.
  7. Icons for animals? I believe up to a26RC1 the chickens were indicated, in the screenshot they're not.
  8. Not too happy with the minimap. The metal icon seems very large, stone is not visible. Hunt icons are sketchy; one can guess there's something to the northeast of the CC, the chickens left from the CC are not indicated at all.
  9. Can't remember seeing these kind of artifacts before. [Tarim Basin (4)] Pro'ly the first and last time I play that map. I thought the (2) version was ok, now no metal treasures, ok, but why is the starting wood so drastically less? Guess some ppl like it that way...
  10. Blablabla. Not interesting and besides any point. In the screenshots on page 1 Fringesongs wrote: And all that other spam. Those two quotes alone should get him banned.
  11. Sorry, real quick some off topic. According to some project leader (whose identity I won't reveal as it was in a pm) we have about 20k active weekly devices with opt-in autostats. Just as an idea what our active player base is.
  12. I continued with the demo campaign. Interesting that you can string together maps like that, but ofc it doesn't really feel like a campaign as there is no continuity from one game to another. What I found a bit annoying was that the settings always reset to default (resources, speed...); usually those settings persist. I don't think I will play the Cycladic Archipelago; I don't think I can fit all the buildings I want on my starting island and those other bits of land don't look like they can hold a CC, let alone additional buildings... I found the Corinthian Isthmus map weird. Lots of space, but zero hunt (apart from the starting sheep). I'm still not a fan of needing merchantmen to collect sea bound treasures. Since trade didn't seem worthwhile in those puddles I produced two merchantmen and destroyed them after collecting; cost/profit seems ok, but still doesn't really feel satisfactory. The stone quarries are nice, but I find the 2000 stone / 4 worker slots totally disproportional.
  13. Do you have a dedicated GPU and checked the game is running on that?
  14. That's a known problem, but mostly for MP. Are you a single player? First thing I usually recommend is to make sure that the game runs on the dedicated GPU. (Are you playing on a laptop?) You might also check the "lagging" part of https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/FAQ
  15. That's kinda difficult. According to my download history it took nearly two months from a25 RC1 to release. And everything depends on voluntary work. But ofc I think all suggestions how everyone can help are good.
  16. Seems possible. Maybe on his best behavior. Or on proper medication. Ofc you can discuss whatever you like, Islam, crocodiles, dandelions... But for me the main point is that Fringson is spamming vitriol and hate in the lobby, I don't think it should have place in the lobby and thus Fringson should be sanctioned.
  17. Doing something sounds fantastic! I take the liberty to ping the two people who were active in that ticket: @Langbart @wowgetoffyourcellphone
  18. @Frederick_1 Maybe it's a bit of consolation that a better opponent might do it anyway? Totally unrelated: I had it happen that I "extinctified" my neighboring enemy (killed all units, let the infrastructure sit until I have a real army to take it over) and then my stupid AI ally "launches an attack", basically meaning ~two dozens of his units getting shot by the CC; thus giving the enemy enough loot to spawn new units...
  19. Do you want to say that's just how it is? Because that ticket says nothing about Han stables being captured by other civs.
  20. I just captured a Han stable and felt cheated because I couldn't produce champions from it (which I had researched at one of my stables).
  21. Loot is 20% of a building's worth, so it should be 20% of 50%. (I'm not aware of any houses that cost 100 wood.) Anyway, I agree with @borg- that it's not an urgent matter.
