  1. Yeah, total 0AD ripoff! I see some similar ideas to what we have in the game, some we've been discussing for years, some we have dropped. I don't know how unique they've been anyway and I don't think the similarity is too striking.
  2. This is in response to this: I don't see how it is a balancing issue. Since it is in the balancing section I can't answer there which I want to regardless. So frankly, with all due respect and maybe slightly irritated by the circumstances, I say: bull. 'Captured enemy houses' are your own houses. If you doubleclick on some of your own stuff you select all of that kind. You can't 'delete enemy houses'. If you select all of your houses and delete them, tough luck; better pay attention next time what you're deleting. Those are very basic principles and I hope everyone has the mental capabilities to remember those for three months or longer.
  3. @leopard @Stan` @user1 I don't even know what the MOTD might be but I hope it's not pointing to this specific thread...
  4. I found the thread puzzling before, but it gets even weirder. But I totally understand that you don't want to mess with obscure thunder magic by @user1.
  5. I don't know what the lobby's MOTD says, but if you have a rating dispute and want to report it you should go here: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/topic/67875-ratings-disputes-and-offence-reporting/ The first post will tell you what to do. @Stan`I don't see the value of this thread; maybe lock it?
  6. Players shan't be able to set enemies' buildings on fire but should have to do so with their own?
  7. Obviously didn't read the thread.
  8. If the command is available there's also an icon appearing: I tend to not use the command as I usually have mixed results; sometimes the units simply forgot what they were doing. It's also not working if I unloaded my units at a dropsite which I like to do.
  9. Yeah, well I'm no historian, but what I get is that without Seleucus I we wouldn't have the Seleucids to begin with, and while Antiochus III was able to restore some, it kinda went downhill under Antiochus IV. So the connection with the available heroes to CCs doesn't seem too compelling to me.
  10. I don't see the connection to the hero, but the total obscurity is what I really don't like. (I've actually been wondering for years why the CC button is greyed out and becomes available at some point. Even if we were to assume I wasn't the brightest candle on the cake, I don't think we should have mechanics that much in the dark.) I think the MCs are already a strong bonus to the civs that have them, so I'd say please make it more explicit, but I don't think additional bonii are necessary. What could be reconsidered imho is the tie to the hero, which also means CCs aren't available until some time into p3.
  11. I like the MC, it's cheaper, faster to build & gives me access to archers. CCs give a larger area, though. What bugged me more than (temporarily) not being able to build a CC was that I couldn't figure out why, so I decided to finally bring it up.
  12. Maybe the feature is fine, but I think it's really bad there's no info. Should be in the tooltip and maybe a loading screen.
  13. LOL Assuming you're not joking, why would that be and how would one know?
  14. Why do the Seleucids have a CC limit of 1? Under what circumstances is that lifted? Is there any info in-game regarding this?
  15. btw Is there a mod that lets you see the leveling you achieved? In vanilla stats I can see the lootin' I did, but not the levelin'.
  16. The time one needs for capturing is the timer. I think it's fine that once you own a building you can do with it whatever you please.
  17. I don't find the Roman roster too exciting so I'd like that. (I always wondered why Romans wouldn't have access to mercs, but I thought maybe they just formed any employed forces into their standardized units?)
  18. Hi @Kabilan, you should mention your OS and actually attach the crashlog.txt and crashlog.dmp files. Just guessing: you're on a windows machine and your antivir doesn't allow 0AD to access the files. @Stan`
  19. Yeah, I agree. I say it again: ships are ridiculously large, causing a lot of those problems. At least regarding the damage there was some discussion and we might see some changes in a26. I got the feeling that most active devs aren't interested in ships, and that most active players simply play land maps, maybe to some part out of frustration with ships.
