  1. Yesterday I played on a new map, Chang Jian, and it was possible to have two way traffic on the river even next to a port. Maybe ship gameplay is improving. Still I think ships are ridiculously big and cause problems on a lot of maps.
  2. I think of it as "unused material"; if you only build a house halfway, then you have half the material left. It works the same way when you destroy your own buildings during construction: 0% built = 100% resources "refunded", 50% built = 50% resources refunded etc.
  3. Yeah, I didn't necessarily mean you personally. Wasn't there someone else who did previous trailers?
  4. Nah, still possible. The example from @Lion.Kanzen also showed plenty of text editing. Make a montage with pseudo editing capturing and examples of what mods we already have. Cavemen, high fantasy, cheat units, medieval...
  5. I'm still hoping for a proper lioness portrait. I don't know if our big cats are up to date anyway. Maybe our doggos (wolves) aren't either, but I care a little less about them.
  6. I just had a look at the demo campaign. On the first map, Chang Jian, both the enemy (AI) and me start with two ports and a trader, but the enemy doesn't use it. It just parked the trader a bit off the first port. I really hope our AI can do better? @Stan` You didn't reply to my last posts about diacritics, but that unit box (or whatever it's called) at the bottom also doesn't use them, but an alternative spelling of Kurush. EDIT: After some minutes the enemy AI did start trading with its merchantman.
  7. Seems contradictory to me. Wouldn't the lesson of the vids be to concentrate on single player and campaigns, while allowing the game to be modded? And add flashy swoops and explosions for spectacle. To promote mods in MP I guess it would be nice to keep the surface (lobby) running, while restarting the needed components for playing ~invisibly.
  8. I just looked up one place I knew had a bishop with secular power: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cologne#Middle_Ages Bruno's story reads like fantasy, might serve as inspiration or just an interesting read.
  9. We could try to dig deeper into Mohamad's psyche, or compare it with other contemporary marriages... But actually I just wanna see a Latin speaking mob in action! Latin speakers of the world! Unite! Go after this guy!
  10. So Europe as well. And the country where I want to be.
  11. That would be the cart Cothon. I think it's ok, although I can't remember ever using it. Maybe allow it for all civs and give the Cothon an additional bonus. AFAIK it was always the case that repairs were made while the vessel was sailing. Ofc not a dry dock situation, and one probably wouldn't be able to replace masts, but apart from that I'd actually be ok with an auto-repair up to 80%.
  12. I think it's a continental shelf thing. Where are you from?
  13. That sounds odd. Maybe check your match settings if you accidentally clicked something weird there. (Settings will persist even if you un-/re-install.) Next suggestion would be to upload a replay of such a game, maybe with your logs folder. hth
  14. If it's a matter of balancing, what do our balancing advisors say about it? As I wrote before, personally I'd be fine with keeping it; maybe the structure tree then should be extended, as apparently it is in DE.
  15. Maybe Agis could unlock a merc tec, or be able to train mercs as long as he lives. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find out what kind of mercs he brought to the battle at Megalopolis. I think for Chandragupta something with war eles would be fine.
  16. How has that not been changed back several versions later?
  17. I don't think any civ's names have their thingies in those screens. Take "Liu" for example. I just started a game with all the civs that have diacritics in the Structure Tree, none showed them in summary or diplomacy. Antiochus and Kurush had alternative spellings. I think "attitude" would be more appropriate, or "relation"; or maybe "stance", that would fit in that space, but we use that word somewhere else.
  18. How can I do the rounding? With "diacritics don't appear in the summary" I mean that there are no diacritics in the summary. Nor in the diplomacy window. Just look at Marcus: Just noticed the "Theirs" in the diplomacy screen. Does that make any sense?
  19. Sure, better than the current mess. So it's possible to round to k, but not to a natural number or to limit the digits after the point? @Stan` You said diacritics are a part of the natural spelling, yet they don't appear in the summary?
  20. Yeah, but that's probably not what we should aim for anyway, and it can't really get much worse than a totally undecipherable number. Anyway. So my (treacherous) ally is starting an attack: But after he requested an attack on that enemy, I made a gate for him: Obviously that would be the better route. I guess once the AI decides on an attack the route is determined, but since there can be a considerable delay between the decision, the gathering of troops and the actual marching off, maybe that route could be reconsidered?
