Leader suggestions since we're scraping the bottom of the barrel here Gildo - A Numidian rebel that rose in 400 CE and rallied the Garamantes and other desert tribes under him. Control+F for the name Gildo in this translated text https://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Claudian/De_Consulatu_Stilichonis/1*.html Iddibal, Iassuchtan, Iaremaban - Just some dromedary nomad merchants whose names were recorded to trade with the Roman's frontier fort of Bu Njem/ Gholaia in the reports of 253-259 CE. They're may not even be "Garamantes" in a sense, as even the people around those forts were adapting Roman surnames mixed with their traditional given names, but there's always those considered to be outsiders as the article put it - "We already noticed that the settlers along the wadis produced grain and oil for the soldiers in the forts. The army had not organized the transport of these products. On the ostraca, we encounter several dromedary-drivers, none of them belonging to the armed forces. Their names are interesting: although they must have had mixed names, like the Marchii from Ghirza, the scribes of Bu Njem recorded only the native part (e.g., Iddibal, Iassuchtan, Iaremaban), as if to stress that these merchants were less Roman than the soldiers." https://www.livius.org/articles/place/gholaia-bu-njem/bu-njem-ostraca/3 points

Oh, sweet innocence! Let's just say you'd need to host such a server in a very, very unregulated part of the world.2 points

https://github.com/0ADMods/garamantians Fixed to alpha 26, missing details, changes occurred ended up breaking some textures used in the main game, some can be created for greater historical fidelity.2 points

Maybe the Han differentiation isn't between infantry and cavalry, but instead between melee and ranged. What do you think of that change? Still have the same number of citizen-soldier trainer buildings (barracks and range, instead of barracks and stable).2 points

I was talking to some new modders. (illustrative purposes) Duiloga show me some new textures for Native Americans women. Not all. Some showed nude upper torso.( Breasts). I told him that the best thing was to cover them, because those all family friendly stuff. Never in the mods have we dealt with that. [Except the one you see that I wanted to make a mod with controversial topics]. Thoughts friends. @Stan` @wowgetoffyourcellphone1 point

I am not sure how long ago this happened, but I was joking that IuseArchBtw was yeka smurf because you were talking about arch for a while. I apologize if someone thought I was serious, and also, that being a smurf was enough for the host to kick them from the game.1 point

@AIEND please can you test the newest SVN version of the game and give us some feedbacks? Now you have convinced me to make Liu Bang a cavalry swordsman hero1 point
-
I'm not talking about the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, I'm saying that in the Han Dynasty, there were brick carvings showing cavalrymen using swords and shields, because until the Han Dynasty, there were still many ranger swordsmen in Chinese society, and these people would use their swordsmanship on horseback.1 point
-
This is the misunderstanding of Liu Bang by many people. This is a founding emperor who has experienced many battles. He must be able to fight in person.1 point

The Han Dynasty did have cavalry with swords and shields, and such images appeared on the unearthed "huaxiangzhuan".1 point

luiskeys11 did not leave but not do anything - just afk - after some time without saying anything. I don't know if this is allowed, but it is quitting the game, he just didn't leave. metadata.jsoncommands.txt I guess the metadata isn't required? I got the points anyways. @user11 point

I didn't mean that I'm not going to play anymore, ever. that doesn't depend just on me either, my friends may be sticking to the game and I would keep playing with them, but to be honest I've been growing disillusioned with the game development for months now and I'd probalbly rather switch to another game, if I gave it a try some time.1 point

Hmm, I think there is a basic roster of buildings that can be the same. Establishes a "base" gameplay for the game. And then you add diversity and uniqueness on top of that. So, barracks/stables/ranges for unit training differentiation as a "standard" for the game's civs. And then you diversify on top of that. Right now it's hard to see where to go from there if you considered Ranges and Stables as "special buildings." If you look at it that way, then yeah, you've given every civ the same "special", which makes it not special at all. Fair enough. I'm just looking at it from a broader perspective. So, if all civs have barracks/stables/ranges, for the Persians then we make the "Apadana" more interesting and unique (you upgrade it to different versions that trickle different resources after researching "Satrapy Tribute"), and maybe add the "Yakhchal" Ice Houses that give a bonus when built. The Athenians, then, we look at the Prytaneion and Gymnasium and see how we can make those more interesting. Maybe give them a "Stoa" special building as in Delenda Est. For the Carthaginians, implement the "unlocking mercenaries" concept for the Embassies. Point is, just because you give every civ an archery range doesn't mean it's the end of history.1 point

How many alphas until we’ve reversed all the changes and are at a23 with a couple unit stat adjustments?1 point

I would also be interested in this (or the range as I say above). (Or either for Han and then bring the other to some other civ) (really I was just never a fan of the stable being a global feature)1 point
-
I would like if such buildings were a civ differentiator for 1-2 civs that have a lot of range units. Kind of like how stables were for Persia in a23 (and before). Making a global change like that, though, takes away doesn't actually improve diversity: it replaces something that is uniform with something else that still uniform but more restricting. just my two cents, but having a lot of extra buildings that limit what can do isn’t much fun. If those buildings come with some other benefits (ie it’s not just restricting because there are benefits that come with restrictions aka a trade off is created) and are unique (ie a civ differentiator) then maybe there is some potential1 point

To play online you need to be at least 13 or have parental authorization as per COPPA.1 point

Does this game even have an age limit? I don't think so. If the natives did dress like that then that's fine. To be honest most players can't see models in great detail.1 point

DE features nudity IIRC. Originally Mauryas' maiden were topless. When it comes to mods it's the responsibility of the authors to decide their audience. I would go for a safe approach though, with straps of some kind.1 point

but these aesthetics help to improve the gameplay. gives you the idea of damage types for units and buildings. there are things that have not been considered, either to keep the gameplay simple or to make logical sense of it. In the end, the game is a logical simulation of reality, with its limitations and abstractions.1 point

I was thinking of these how wonderful what do you think? (This idea was put forward by Sundiata) The biggest issue will be the units that I have to make shields, some helmets and textures. I want to give them a standard range of 3/1 libios and berebers with Africans further south. I saw it in a text about the misery in Garama burials (I'll see if I can find the link later).1 point
