Thanks! Not for A25 though. I still have my hands full attempting to finish all of the hero stuff. Little did I know how much work it would be.3 points

Hi all, I would like to do a survey on which operating systems you are currently using. You can write more than 1 if you have more than 1 OS installed. The purpose is to see which OS are the most popular among our players.1 point

It's the old Spartan "ballista tower" model. I may use it for DE's version of the Syracusans.1 point

When the editor is open, the public.zip file is constantly being accessed by the system, so Windows 10 would restrict you from opening it to prevent corruptions. You need to close the scenario editor and all 0ad related processes, then right click on public.zip then click on 'extract here'. After the extraction is done you will get a folder called 'public' (it is huge)! Delete the original public.zip, then restart the game. You should see the mod selection screen. Select 0ad, then restart the game a few times to check if it works. You can then edit the files in public folder. Alternatively, build from git or svn1 point

I believe recently someone declared here in the forums that the only viable way to scale 0AD was to edit a .cfg; since I can't find her post I can't reference it. (Notepad++ was what I thought of bc that's what I would use.1 point

In my opinion, this is a terrible idea. First, because most of our evidences, archaeologically and historically, are related to the Odrysians. Second, because this is incoherent, we don't do the same for other cultures. Else, why not dividing Getae and Dacians? The same for Illyrians with the Autariatae, Dalmatiae, Dardani, Ardiaei etc.1 point

I am not supporting the idea of two Thracian factions, and I don't have the time nor the will to argue about heroes. So you have free hand on the matter.1 point

While waiting for a willing modeler in order to finish the veranda (is it necessary?), let us pick the specific name for the new wonder. Am thinking of "Basíleion tôn Aigôn". Are the cases used correct?1 point

Soy un simple principiante entusiasta, mientras que Lordgood es un maestro Samurai, bromas aparte, creo que podría hacerlo con algunos modelos 3d como base para modificar.1 point

Team color can be put on where there is red/crimson: face paint, hair tie, and armor trim and straps. Since the units will be mostly based on Nakanishi's art, decided to revise the ranks. Tunics can be white or light brown (from that lone axeman). Militia swordsman/axeman and two-handed spearman: Basic: No armour, can wear tunic or topless, basic wooden shield Advanced: Basic wooden breastplate and shield (could be painted, latter for swordsman) Elite: Face paint (optional), mokusei katchū and large painted shield with metal sun disc (swordsman), wooden cuirass (spearman) Militia archer/hunter: Basic: No armour, either long-sleeve, short-sleeve, or sleeveless tunic, and either pants or no pants Advanced: Add a basic or thin wooden breastplate Elite: Short- or long-sleeved tunic, optionally wear leather coat, painted or unpainted thin wooden breastplate Bell bearer: same as illustration, mokusei katchū Champion (two-handed) spearman and "swordsman"/axeman: same as illustrations, long-sleeved tunic, optional leather coat, black mokusei katchū or thin painted breastplate with shoulderpads, medium painted wooden shield My proposed unit roster has not yet been revised to reflect the changes though, will do so at a future time. There's still the Yamatai illustrations and raiding spearmen at the first page of thread.1 point

To put forward another Hellenistic structure, the Altar of Zeus at Pergamum would be be a plausible option. The Attalid dynasty based in Pergamum was directly from Lysimachus' successor state, and the structure is in an incredible state of preservation due to the meticulous work of German archaeologists.1 point

Illustrations of Japan during 0AD's timeframe So I have a bunch of Japanese references I collected but never shared before... This is mostly Yayoi period, and a little Jomon period. I actually think this civilisation can be done... The biggest issue, just off the top of my head, is: no cavalry... Here's a full unit roster... How 'bout that... Temple: The following images are mostly very high quality reconstructions from the Yoshinogari archaeological park: "Yoshinogari (吉野ヶ里 遺跡 Yoshinogari iseki) is the name of a large and complex Yayoi archaeological site in Yoshinogari and Kanzaki in Saga Prefecture, Kyūshū, Japan. According to the Yayoi chronology established by pottery seriations in the 20th century, Yoshinogari dates to between the 3rd century BC and the 3rd century AD. However, recent attempts to use absolute dating methods such as AMS radiocarbon dating have shown that the earliest Yayoi component of Yoshinogari dates to before 400 BC." -wikipedia- Civic Center: Farmstead: Houses: Special building: Walls: Other stuff:1 point

Kofun The Kofun period (古墳時代 Kofun jidai) is an era in the history of Japan from around 250 to 538 AD. It follows the Yayoi period. The word kofun is Japanese for the type of burial mounds dating from this era. The Kofun and the subsequent Asuka periods are sometimes referred to collectively as the Yamato period. The Kofun period is the earliest era of recorded historyin Japan; as the chronology of its historical sources tends to be very distorted, studies of this period require deliberate criticism and the aid of archaeology. https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/resources-for-unit-makers.295004/page-2#post-87264221 point
