Hydaspes River 2 players The Hydaspes, aka Jhelum, River in the Punjab of India. Here was the site of the great battle between the Macedonian forces under Alexander the Great and the Indian forces of the king Porus of Paurava. Map features: A broad river bisects the map. Players start with 6 free army tents for a population boost, a free Elephant Archer, a free Indian Dock and a free Indian transport ship for early river crossings. The river is unfordable except for a small ford at the south end of the map.3 points

I think the late popular hellenistic Ascalon and /or Sidon type designs could use at least one more variant to do it justice that could use as starting point this existing interesting Thraco-attic variant with some modifications on the neck guard and brim. The russians guy from Natus ob Imperium mod pretty nailed the design Im hinting at: some wargaming.net stuff etc2 points

0 A.D. Social Media Accounts (We need you!) I’ve been given the lovely honor to curate 0AD’s social media accounts. In this capacity, I would love to invite every forum member here at the Wildfire Games Forums to take a look at our current accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Mastodon. As you may know, 0 A.D. is completely free, libre, open source and volunteer based. No wages are paid in the development of this game and there is no budget for marketing. Exposure for this project is made up almost entirely of word-of-mouth advertising. We, the fans, are the developers of this game, both here on the forum, as well as on other platforms like trac, phabricator, GitHub and IRC. Together, we are all contributing towards the development of this game, however large or small those contributions may be. Every like, comment and share contributes towards the future of this game that we have all grown to love. The more people know about this game, the higher the odds that we will attract more developers in various fields from programming to art and translations. So, if you haven’t given these pages a visit yet, please take a look. And maybe give us a like https://facebook.com/play0ad/ https://twitter.com/play0ad https://instagram.com/play0ad.official/ https://mastodon.social/@play0ad (open source social media) Other media accounts worth checking out are: The Spanish language 0 A.D. And remember, there is also a lovely thread called “Your screenshots”. Don’t be shy to post some nice shots there. The ones that are exceptionally pleasing to the eye might receive a feature on our platforms. That was a nice show, I really enjoyed replaying. I liked @PhyZik's confusion maneuver when he picked Spartans instead of a cavalry civ, because he's mostly been playing those recently. The team also did a good cooperation at getting water control and later while attacking. On the eastern front, nani really showed what it means to be a troll master. You had the patience and no fear of waiting for the right moment. On the other front, JC probably tried to replicate my Kush strategy from today, but he failed hard. Marc knew how to best defend a raid, that is by counter attacking.1 point

This helmet found in Normandy and dated to the 1st century BC is close from its conception to the most common type known as "Alésia" (because the first was one has been found there). It is possible there was back and forth influence between the Celts from Central Europe, the Celts from North Italy, the Celts from the Balkans and the Celts from the Pontic Steppes. Maybe with Anatolia too although it is not totally certain. The Celtic world of the 3rd, 2nd and 1st century BC is highly connected. As an example of the complex interaction, here a Konos like helmet found in Kalnavo (late Thracian site) with plenty of Celtic items:1 point

Some Greco-Bactrian and Indo-Greek helmets would be awesome additions (I'd really like to add the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom to Delenda Est). But higher priority is Boeotian helmets with plumes. We have various uncrested and crested variants, but none with plumes (which is what they're usually depicted with in illustrations).1 point

Arrrg forgot to include me map of Romanos Bay Cuba...it will probably make it into the next release. Meanwhile random is playable. Try: Map Type: Random Map filter: Naval maps Select Map: Pirates Map Size: <Captain's choice> Biome: Caribbe Population Cap: 100 or 150 or 200 Game Speed: Island-style (optionally, Drunken Sailor) Regicide is fun because your hero is quite charismatic and can capture just about anything .. but basic (conquest) victory condition plays ok too.1 point

Honestly, I think the old sounds are better. Your new bow and arrow sound is better than the "woop" though, so I propose: Swords/Spears: Keep the old sounds* Archers: Use your new "Bow Twang" sound, but reduced in volume. Javelins and Slingers: Use the old "woop" sound, but reduced in volume. *The game needs to identify active battle sites and kick in some " battle" sound FXs. https://youtu.be/WYi4Bp1hmC0?t=940 points
