Hi @Alexandermb ! Glad to see new talented faces in the art department ! Sadly, I'm back just as a lurker (until the end of september or so) and perhaps I can provide art tech support or similar, but no manpower yet. I've seen you guys have been very busy! Really nice work around the art dept forums Hello Feneur! Happy to se you around here still!4 points

Despite of the direction you end up following with the layout, here are some suggestions with the structural parts: Use thicker wall wood beams. The wood beams on the walls are currently too thin. Making them thicker will provide a sturdier feel. Also use the "X" pattern which is very characteristic of romans: For the "boringness" of the walls, you can throw some "indent" arches. I think Pureon also used them in some roman houses. Banners and shields hanging on walls: I think it is a great eye-candy catcher to spice up walls and give the military feel. It is a decoration element used in several of the barracks in-game that works pretty well. Investigate adding different roofing levels: -Except few exceptions (Persians and Seleucids) the barracks often have roof elevation variations to spice up the shilouette, while keeping the "U" shape layout: For further structural inspiration, you could take a look at AC:Origins and AC:Odissey cities screenshots, or fire up the game if you have them. You can get very nice ideas and keep the historical accurracy. cheers!3 points

Hi, I'm a translator in the armenian language, and I'd like to know how I can become a reviewer or a coordinator, because many sentences have been mistranslated and I feel like I'm the only one who translates the strings. I read a lot of topics about translations in the forum and now I know that I have to ask a coordinator or a reviewer to become one too but there is no coordinator or reviewer in the Armenian language. So I ask you how I can become the first.2 points

Here are some cow vocalizations I recorded for the project. I also have some general eating and walking sounds which I can prepare if needed. CowCalls.zip2 points

Updated first post. Extended this thread to include Suebians and Goths. Suebians represent an early German faction (they can fight the Principate Romans), while the Goths represent a later German faction (they can fight the Dominate Romans). If we eventually add the Thracians and Dacians, I think we're representing the European "barbarians" rather well (maybe split the Lusitanians off from the Iberians and add the Illyrians?). Regardless, I have committed a few "placeholder" assets for the Suebian Germans and the Gothic Germans.2 points

Would really love to see Advisors on the UI, our 3D artists could use makehuman to create UI art if something would be planned2 points

I don't think the music should stop when using the in-game encyclopedia. Anyone else agree? See that video for example.2 points

Good stuff! (Some in-game anti-aliasing would make that video thumbnail look 10 times better...)2 points

The Germans Cimbri, Suebians, Goths https://github.com/JustusAvramenko/delenda_est/commit/74653b71376ba38593f675e4051586769292b59b https://github.com/JustusAvramenko/delenda_est Need halp from our resident historians, artists, and reference gatherers. Units Since the Suebi were a tribal confederation, units will have tribal designations, for example: Marcomanni Spearman, Quadi Light Cavalry, etc. Goths will represent the "later" Germans, with round shields, more helmets, more chain mail, greater cavalry. Suebian units look like "early" Germans, with hexagonal shields, fewer helmets, less chain mail, greater reliance on infantry. Basic units - Bare chested or Animal hide. Pants. Shield. Weapon. He and his followers took part in a war in Gaul, assisting the Arverni and Sequani in defeating their rivals, the Aedui. Maybe we should make another effort at recruiting a sound designer? Cattle could really use some sounds. For now, perhaps we can use cc0 or free "cow" sound assets? Quick google search: http://soundbible.com/tags-cow.html1 point

The Catafalques are supposed to house the remains of the men mentioned in their name. So yeah, "Catafalque of Solon" would be the best generic name and then the specific name translation from that.1 point

Hi @wowgetoffyourcellphone Please see https://code.wildfiregames.com/rP22197#inline-3121 That is cause animal walks differently. I am not sure with which patch is @wraitii going to fix it but he will eventually Anyway I think it would need to be edited animation speed in actors after that change.1 point

It's very nice to see a new voice set. They feel much more Persian now. And cool new buildings! Any chance it is included in vanilla?1 point

Great job @Stan` I'll do this for you if you model me a cult statue for the Persians. I think the Apadana needs updated too, but that's core game. Cult Statues are Delenda Est. If you make me a cult statue for them I'll make a template for the core game too if you want. The Yakhchal and Cult Statues for core game will just pull their parent from the generic "special_building" template and do nothing.1 point

Watching Nookrium halfway at the moment. What I noticed so far Lack of harvest animation for the pig (Stream viewer jokingly said that it was being milked lol, and that was a sustainable way of having bacons, really laughed at this one) A particular cattle entity at Butana Steppes which also lacked animation. The guy failed to notice the lack in population point during one of his matches. Stream viewers are very interested on the game based on how they saw him play it. He zooms a lot and is mostly fascinated by the graphics, he praised it how each faction had different structure sets and was really moved the the appearance of the buildings. Interesting though that he looked at the mod selection for a first game cover. He somewhat wanted more available information about the mods in the mod selection area, other than the mod summary description. He downloaded the community maps mod ad mod.io1 point

We could fix the issue that we have multiple reports per day and we can make it easier to report these. We can do both, but one of them would be logical to do first. Keep those fingers crossed, one day we will beat the endboss rating fakery.1 point
-
What about a positive reporting like in LOL? When you finish the game you can qualify the others players if they were friendly, they resigned, etc.. like a karma system.1 point
-
I do not know but I'm sure the charming and understanding lobby players would click it out of existence. Then we can go hunting for players abusing the poor thing and get them reported on the Forums maybe?1 point

Wow Really nice bamboo Makes me wish we had a "wow" reaction rather than "just" a like or thanks (It's possible to add new reactions, but you need to have a fitting image, and finding one that fits the current ones and is legal to use is probably more work than it would be worth as the current ones are useful enough.)1 point
