Hello guys, While playing 0AD i remembered a funny (or not so funny if you are player 8) map made on AoE3 called Cannibal Escape. The goal for player 1 to 7 is to survive a certain amount of time while player 8 is to kill everyone else in the time limit. The map look like this from top: Players 1-7 are on the same team & start with 1 villager that can build: - Farm/Field (free to build), Towers(free), Walls(free) They can do stuff with the food they produce: Upgrade Towers/Walls, Buy units/more villager, Upgrade population cap. Player 8 start in the middle of the map with 1 build to produce units (for free) & walls surounding it, he gain food over time. He can upgrade is units for food after a certain amount of time. He can attack others players after 1m30 (walls transform into doors).2 points

Thank you for the support for this map. Im still new with the map editor so i'm not that great at finding bugs and what textures to use. If anyone wants to take on fixing them, or make changes please feel free to make whatever changes you want. Going over these to learn some more about the map editor. Thanks1 point

The same walling system was used on AoE3 yet it was full playable, you can have gaps & made it a maze, or the gaps can be too little so enemy units can't pass through.1 point

This never-ending development is indeed one of 0AD's strong suits in my opinion.. How good it may be, it can always get better. Of course we should aim for a "complete and officially released" game, but that doesn't necessarily mean development should ever stop. I plan on playing this game on the holodeck with my grandkids1 point

@Itms I think the issue has always been there, or at least I do not remember any period of not getting notifications about "Tutorials", ever since it had been added to the project. I have contacted Transifex about the issue just now. I will write here with more info if/when I get an answer from their support.1 point

Don't worry about it. First off, if you're playing with much better players, they expect you to play at your own skill level. The teams should be set up initially so that there is someone of a similar skill level as you on the other team too, to balance it. Just play your best and don't worry too much about things you can't control. You could play with those of a skill level similar to your own, but I would actually recommend getting more experience with good players if they let you, since that will help you improve more quickly. Playing single player without any AI opponents is good advice too. It's different from multiplayer because it lacks early fighting, but you can practice your economy, getting to a 200/200 population age 3 army with 100 citizen-soldiers, a hero, and some siege engines or elephants, as fast as you can. Say - 17 minutes is a reasonable goal for that. It's good to watch what a good player does in the replay, jot down some notes about when they build units and buildings, and then copy it as best you can. Then in multiplayer if your enemies leave you alone, you can do the same thing, and help your team out a lot.1 point

As for 0 A.D., the year ended with a great recognition from our community of players and followers: we were awarded a Honourable Mention in IndieDB's Indie of the Year competition! This is the best we can achieve considering we already made it to the top 5 in 2012 and cannot be ranked again... unless we enter the Released category! Be sure that we are headed towards that direction. We are looking forward to all the new things happening to the game in 2018 and we thank you, old-timers and newcomers in the community alike, for being a part of it1 point

Actually I do have a pull up banner design that's using a slightly different vector based brand I experimented with a few months ago. Not sure the team want to move the 0 A.D. brand style in that direction though Would be really quick to resize that artboard to the print specs required.1 point
