  1. I agree that formations are broken but at least activating a default one would be nice. Aren't syntagma and testudo kept though ? Can you be more specific I don't understand.

To adapt this in gimp : In the actor viewer click on the ground icon, that will fill the background with black this is particulary useful when having white units ie : this You don't have the inner and outer glow. So I suggest you use the gaussian blur. Use the magic wand to select the black and do as Lion told you create a new layer with the colored wolf while the bottom layer has a white wolf. Then select the bottom layer gaussian blur 20 and you 'll have a white overlay. (Repeat it till it's thick enough) You can now colour it to look like the yellow in this picture. And done
