Anything that requires siege to be garrisoned sounds incredibly annoying...It's micro that a lot of know we should do now but don't because it's a pain and clunky2 points

Maybe reintroducing sieges capture would fit with some of the ideas here. For example if sieges can't move without units inside, stealing ungarded sieges could be a fun part of the game (not sure why it was removed in the first place).2 points

Not exactly, please consider it with: - siege units function only with units garrisoned, - when you damage an enemy siege unit below a certain level, garrisoned operator are kicked out, and you have the capability to capture it. This accomplishes 2 things: - reintroduce the capture mechanic, but hopefully with enough micro to make it worth it (note you still have the no-painful-micro option to destroy it completely like the current game) - introduce the mechanic to make siege units move and attack faster in a micro-intensive way, all the while avoiding loss of function without painful micro In other words, no forced frustrating micro like suggested by @chrstgtror @real_tabasco_sauce, but hopefully implement some ideas from @Darkcity in a fun way.and give more options.1 point

Speaking as someone who does way more micro than average…this would annoy me. Have fun microing this when you make 3 rams mid battle, have to micro the exact number of units (away from the fight) to stand idle next to the siege factory (which will make your idle hot key way less useful), click your view away from the battle to see if the rams finished producing, click back to the battle because you looked too soon, click back away to the battle to see if the rams are ready, garrison the perfect number of units into 3 separate rams (no shift clicking because then you might over garrison and leave one or more rams immobile), manually direct the rams to wherever you want them to go (because rally points will no longer work for siege), click back to battle to see that half your army followed a retreating unit and now you’re dead. This is also be one of the very few instances where micro is forced and it is forced away from the action. There are a ton of hot key/group control features that exist or are request just so that you don’t have to needlessly click/view away from the center of action. Giving an extra boost to siege with garrisoned units makes sense. Making siege useless without garrisoning sounds terribly frustrating1 point

Now we have effectively returned to normal rams This is more simply accomplished by giving current (a25) rams a logarithmic bonus of speed and attack when garrisoned.1 point

This is an RTS so i expect some micro is in order to win. Besides, siege units are generally not plentiful, so i expect it will be manageable.1 point

Hi, I am trying to follow the Bake tutorial here: However, when I got to step 2, I cannot see a UV Menu. Please see the attached picture. The other issue was at step 1 where it says: My concern is that I already know this model appears exactly how I want it to when ingame (except for an annoying circular "shadow" that appears on the roof - a remnant from the original model which I removed). I was unsure if this step is for people who are planning on retexturing their model or if I still need to do it. If I do need to do it, won't creating a new material cover the model with a different texture rather than what the original creator put on the model? Or would like create a new material and then open the texture file that comes along with this model and make no changes what so ever. All I am trying to do is get rid of the shadow ingame. Please see the second picture for an example of an unwanted shadow that I intend to remove after I have learned to remove the shadow from this object.1 point

Maybe the garrisoned units are kicked out after the siege unit is damaged below a level, and it is captureable when not garrisoned. So, to capture, we damage the siege unit first, get rid of the garrison, then capture. This way, it is not a disaster when your siege is captured because it is time-consuming to capture and the siege unit is vulnerable when captured.1 point

Yeah, they can left alone for a while. We can use 3 (which is the current pop taken by siege by the tower). If siege training takes 1 pop, then default speed will be current speed/3 (no pop taken then no speed). Once you garrsion 2 more then its speed becomes same as of now. If you fullly garrsion then 20% speed bonus (We can or can't do this). The idea is to not bind 3 pop to siege forever. That 3 pop should be utilized other place also. Example - battle. But at the same time interaction with siege should also increase.1 point

I think it is best leave bolt shooters and catapults as is currently, since they have dedicated soldiers to operate them. (their models include soldiers). It is weird to garrison a bolt shooter.1 point

Would you mind to explain "was hacked" there is curently no way to change game passowrd so even you shared it with someone else... such would be always accessible.. or meaning you hacked it trying same passowrd or so? if the case well done! such player deserved it. Thanks for reporting, I will definitely do some add-ons.1 point

By "card update" do you mean "Cartography". By "aliens" do you mean "allies"? I agree with your points. I consider it important for players to give at least a brief statement about the purpose of the flare or ping. Even better is to describe the number and type of enemy troops in the area so that other players respond more intelligently.1 point

Creo que @Duileoga no le importaría, estamos pensando en posibles tecnologías para los zapotecas. Cosas como el caucho, el cacao, la tecnología naval y los calendarios eran bastante comunes, también pensamos en algún tipo de bonus o generación de un pequeño hilo de comida en los corrales a partir de la producción de turkey en ellos. I believe that @Duileoga would not matter, we are thinking about possible technologies for the Zapotecs. Things like the rubber, the cacao, the naval technology and the calendars were quite common, we also thought of some kind of bonus or the generation of a small amount of food in the corrales from the production of turkey in them.1 point
