  1. slowly slowly I'm updating the mod to include some new features, assets and all the good stuff. If you want to try it out, you can find it here: https://github.com/stereotipo/millenniumad Current changes had been : - A full building set for the Umayyad civilization (was lacking) - An update of some Byzantine buildings, to make them more historically accurate and improved textures (thanks to @Andronikos Medina for his historical supervision, as scholar of Byzantinism) - A new civ, the Rus (currently on hold) with new planed features and mechanics Today, as a personal exercise I also made an alternative splash screen, featuring the Norse and I'm planning to make a few more! Once completed, I hope that this mod can have the chance to promote 0ad and Wildfire Games through early medieval history!

  2. Missions 8 and 9 have now been converted and remastered for a25. Following are some screen shots from Mission 9, which is largely a naval/coastal adventure of battle and exploration. By the way, it used to be that when you capture a Gaia lighthouse, all coastal areas become revealed. Now that trigger doesn't seem to work, nothing happens when capturing the lighthouse. Was that change intentional?

  4. This mod is based on @nani's autociv mod, where I made some changes to the gui of the game that can help you in a heated situation: 1. A23 sound effects and amplified sound - you can hear every projectile hit and alarm. 2. All berries and fruit trees are pink - easier to spot. 3. Trees turned into vertical sticks for visibility; no canopies so that you can see anything under them; bushes are also sticks so you can spot them before trying to build anything. 4. Chickens have been replaced with blue peacocks 5. Metal are now bright yellow and shiny - easy to see and be distinguished from stone. 6. GUI tuned to a theme that I like - feel free to change it if you have the assets. I am still working on it and it is incomplete at this stage, but it already works and did allow me spot some sneaky moves from the enemy and micro more efficiently. Many thanks to nani.   5. Anyone who has won a game against one or more AI knows how annoying it is to hunt down the last few women of the AI hiding in some corner of the map. It is a huge waste of time and effort. My suggestion is to allow the AI to resign instead of being defeated completely. Let the AI automatically resign if all 3 conditions are satisfied: Having lost all CCs or territory roots. Less than 30 organic units left The human player still has some territory roots and more than 50 pop. These settings should be able to take account of nomad as well. I am not sure how to code this up. Can the programmers offer any thoughts? @andy5995 @bb_ @Stan` @Silier @wraitii @Gurken Khan since you play with the AI a lot, what do you think about this idea?

  6. I'm a bit torn. I like to deal the killing blow, but ofc it's frustrating when I have to search for that ~one woman too long. So maybe add a timer, like 1 min?

  7. I could see it cycling backard through the list of notification areas, but neither way is implemented, only to last notification.

Minecraft is not as fun as 0AD but I still like it... just consider being an unit yourself, having to do exactly mining, farming, chopping wood, building, fighting and scouting but all on your own. Consider mobs as gaia... I do agree that Minecraft uses less brain compared to 0AD, which is why it can have a greater player base. Another thing is, Minecraft is counter-intuitive so there is a huge demand for tutorial videos and survival walkthrough. Also speedrunning and DreamSMP attract audiences who just want to spec.

  12. Guys.. let me introduce you the new Rus civilization for Millenium AD!! Finally, after some troubleshooting and a quick deep dive into 3D modelling, I managed to bring my customized CC into my new civlization!! Since now I was only experimenting with dummy models, but now I think I can really transfer those initial concepts to the actual game! Thanks to everyone that answered my doubts/questions!! It had been a big, big encouragement to not despair from the very beginning! EDIT: yes, I can still make that model a little bit prettier.. but overall is a decent result of what I had conceptualized! Next one: add props, decals, etc...
