I sent a pull request with the conversion results. The first mission launches successfully https://github.com/SciGuy42/Macedonia_0ad/pull/2 But some models have been removed from the game and cannot be automatically converted binaries/data/mods/public/simulation/templates/units/mace_support_healer_e.xml binaries/data/mods/public/simulation/templates/units/mace/champion_cavalry_barracks.xml binaries/data/mods/public/simulation/templates/units/gaul/champion_infantry_barracks.xml binaries/data/mods/public/simulation/templates/structures/brit_kennel.xml2 points

Over time it did become a new world but in its early phase the Muscovy Rus were a small settlement belonging to the Kievan Rus community of kingdoms from which there would not be great differences, but if we talk about the Rus Muscovites in their midst or late phase, they would have already built entire cities with mortar, marble and other materials, being extremely similar to Slavic architecture and its palaces and white walls. Also the Muscovite Rus of this time would have been much more centralized and would have seen large-scale fighting as they did against the Teutonic order. But this is a new era that goes beyond the limits of the mod, interesting but not likely for the application of the mod, I would say. And yes, it would be very interesting to see the two cultures connected in some way, in fact it was in the first days of the Christianization of the Rus that the clergy would also be of Greek origin, especially from the Greek cities of the Black Sea that had been recently besieged, but as early as the 10th and 11th century the clergy of the Rus would be directly controlled by the Byzantines. An example of this would be Archbishop Nicephoros, a Greek prelate of Constantinople and advisor to Prince Vladimir II Monomach.2 points

New random map created by me and @Jammyjamjamman, adapted from the Corinthian Isthmus 2v2 skirmish map. Available in v0.25.7 of CM2. Bases start with 1000 stone and 1000 metal next to their CC instead of 5000/5000. Mines are placed randomly but so far, they seem to be available very close to the territory borders. I'll make changes if necessary.1 point

Well, this popped-up in my news feed yesterday. "Scientists Simulate the Climate of Arrakis. It Turns Out Dune is a Pretty Realistic Exoplanet" https://beforeitsnews.com/space/2021/11/scientists-simulate-the-climate-of-arrakis-it-turns-out-dune-is-a-pretty-realistic-exoplanet-2522128.html1 point

Iirc, there should just be the option to avoid these tileclasses e.g. avoidClass [clWater,3, clHill,4] (Without having looked at the code, so no guarantee)1 point

Fantastic reference!! Thanks for sharing!! It's a bit difficult to find good resources about Avars. Also, good suggestions for the roast of units! It's absolutely a good basis to work on! What's the idea of the "allied camp"? something like a mercenary camp, or more like cartaginese embassies?1 point

Could be reference for Wonder, or fortress. For Roster maybe something like this Avar Barracks: Infantry archer Cavalry archer Cavalry Spearman Cavalry Axeman/Swordsman? Allied Camp: Slavic Spearman Slavic Javelinist Gepid Swordsman Siege Workshop: Ram Siege Tower Traction Trebuchet Fortress: Champion Spear cavalry Champion cavalry archer Dock: Slavic ''Monoxylos'' (Canoe)1 point

Interestingly 2 are already of 0ad ---which gives high response to the strategies & analysis of epic 0ad 1v1 games:1 point

Hey there and welcome @Crumbcakes It's nice to have new artists aboard. There is a lot of work to be done in the 3D Department, both interesting, modelling new buildings, helping out mods, making new animals etc, rigging animating, and some less fun like cleaning up meshes and reducing the polycount of some of the meshes, improving consistency; This is a free project so you are free to do whatever. We have a lot of different eras to cover in mods so it might be a good starting point. Like I told @Radiotraining feel free to ask me any questions you may have, starting may be a bit overwhelming1 point

Hi folks, it is now time for me to convert this to A25. Does anyone have a pointer to what scripts I need to run? And another silly question, how do I actually installl A25 on Linux (Ubuntu 20.04)? Would this work: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wfg/0ad sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install 0ad1 point

I think at this precise moment it's good to simply focus in one of all these possible (Russian) factions. I think it's also important to don't be too ambitious with creating a huge number of factions but instead to work focused. (I neither would like to see many clones of a cool faction (as it's currently happening to the planned Greek factions), 2 to 3 Russian factions should be more than enough).1 point

Setting aside the mercenary cavalry for a moment, Is the problem big enough to complain about for other units? It takes longer for melee to level up since experience is based on damage dealt, and melee infantry are the first to die because they are the "meat shield."1 point

I suppose Kievan Rus (879–1240) should come before the Moscovite Rus (1263–1547)? Anyway, matter of fact I suppose these 2 factions could share many buildings together . Just as current Greeks do in the main game. (You could also add Merovingians with the already Carolingians buildings and Continental Saxons - Frisians with the already Anglo-Saxon buildings). (And grant them different specific things, like different wonders lol). I'm completely interested in these new civs. Lemme know what I can help with.1 point
