  2. Hi all In https://code.wildfiregames.com/rP23856 the visible garrison points (e.g. positions where archers reside on a wall) are moved from GarrisonHolder to a separate file (TurretHolder.js) and the VisibleGarrisonPoints are named TurretPoints now. This was necessary because occupying a turret is inherently different from being garrisoned inside a building. For now the two are still tied together (garrisoning a building which has turret points will occupy such a turret point if allowed) but in the future we plan to make the split compleat. With this change we can finally allow (without hacks) turret points to be occupied forced, bringing https://code.wildfiregames.com/D1958 (subunits on e.g. elephants and chariots) a step closer. Feel free to ask questions if there are things unclear!

  3. Seems like a bug, I was spectating a game and suddenly Gaia sent tribute of 300 food, 300 wood, 300 stone and 300 metal to one of the player. And after some time Gaia resigned. Seemed like unexpected behavior and maybe a potential loophole. Uploading command.txt file from the replay to help investigating, specifically line: turn 34 500 cmd -1 {"type":"tribute","player":"2","amounts":{"food":300,"wood":300,"stone":300,"metal":300}} commands.txt

  4. Mmmmm... That looks so much more authentic... I love it! It seems like creating the right mix of textures is kind of like... cooking. Mixing up the right ingredients, and spicing it up, just enough, but not too much... I think you got it just right there...

  5. The difference is the following. Basically both are "cambio" or intercambio (exchange). But Trueque is more specific.

  7. Well it would require a special type of simulation scripts and probably some engine changes but technically it's doable There would be a lot of GUI work

  13. Depends. If you just want to create 2 or 3 new biomes now for A24, and then all the rest for A25, that's up to you. I just thought there was already plenty of other things holding A24 back. lol The ones we add to A24, like India, need to be new biomes and not updated old ones. We don't want to have to update all the random maps yet until the entire biome/terrain overhaul is complete.

  14. Whilst that may be worth exploring, it probably would require partially overhauling the gui session code, which is rather complicated, realistically it's something for the distant future, thus not an option right now. The choice is between D2806 and D2875 because these are the patches available and ready to be reviewed and committed, i.e. a simple and ready solution for right now.

  15. To barter means exchange (goods or services) for other goods or services without using money. The correct word order would thus be A → Β, i.e.: <Player> bartered <A> for <B>. English is a flexible language, often the meaning of words depends on the context, replacing “barter” in the string with bought/obtained/purchased does not remove the ambiguity, compare: I bought/obtained/purchased petrol for €50. I bought/obtained/purchased petrol for my car. A better option is to reconsider the word “for”, e.g.: <Player> converted <A> into <B>. The concern I have is that everywhere else the game refers to bartering as barter.

  16. Why don't have a third option? In my opinion, the more icons at once, the worse the clarity. So I would suggest to splitt them into sub panels like in Spellforce 3. I can think of three different variations. First possibility, splitting them into phases like Spellforce. Second possibility, splitting them into buildings and units. Or splitting them into civil and military.

  17. Metal mines for the India biome. I think I will use these meshes and textures to improve the metal mines for all biomes.

  18. Some suggestions for Celtic Heroes. Gauls could have Ambiorix (Bonuses and appearance could be based on @Genava55's design here:https://www.docdroid.net/9fLYce0/gauls-design-pdf#page=25 ) and Dumnorix. Another option could be Bolgios (Portraying the invasion of Greece without having two different heroes named Brennus), but i am not sure if he counts as Gallic. For Britons the main one i can think of is Cassivelanus (Currently used in catafalque); for a possible fifth one Diviciacus (Ruled parts of britain and north gaul) or maybe even Tuathal (Since they have a irish wonder)
