  1. I wanted something similar to this (the settlers 5) Basically the building changes the heightmap so that unit may pass. In a more complex version, it would allow artists to set the angle. But this is just a wish o mine.

  5. I don't know if the pathfinder has two grids, land and water, or both on the same, in the first case it would be as easy as marking the bridge area as passable for both/one or none. As for the "walking" in the bridge it could be done doing some kind of vertical displacement using the vertex shader for the bridge plane, kind of a simulated height.

  9. I think that @Dakara did an unexpectedly good rating job. If his rating is not copyrighted, I'd just say copy it and count it as mine. I first considered changing the rating of two or three players, but I realized that it's the stability of their play that matters. Some can grow really fast but won't fight great, some perform worse when rushed or with a less played civilizations, some play great but have little sense of the team, and others the opposite. I think that for example esu might become better pretty soon. He was a good teammate IIRC, only lacking some specific skills.

  10. Hi guys, I just arrived and started playing, so my opinion might not matter that much, but regarding Voodoo/Hoodoo, it would be a complete anachronism. Voodoo rituals are a particular syncretism of African religions and Christian faith, and its development is rather recent (certainly not from the time period used IG anyway). I'm not saying an African civilisation would be a bad idea, just wanted to express my concerns about the name some people wanted to use. *flies away*

The Athenians should also have a two-handed battleaxe actor as in the Marathon battle scene (timestamp 1:12): You might have not read my last comment regarding spear-throwing as in the Iphicrates actor. Is there in code a way to, like the Speartons in Stick War or the outlaws in Stronghold 2/Legends, switch to their kopis (sword) after throwing their spear? It can be like this: (1) an "upgrade" to command them to throw their spears, (2) "promotion" to swordsmen and (3) two "upgrades" to return to using their spears for melee or another throw.

  15. My point was not that the civ should be called Voodoo, just that a civ from that area would be hard to implement due to lack of material before the middle ages. The Nok culture is the most well known one, could be a mini civ in the future (Perhaps a African map with some neutral Nok settlements and mercenaries).

  16. Voodoo originated in West Africa, an area who we know very little about in the time of 0 a.d. Alongside with Garamantes or Numidians, you could also have proto-Aksumites (Kingdom of D'mt).

  17. Might be wrong but for sreen space reflections you need some kind of deferred renderer and 0ad uses forward rendering so you only have the depth buffer but no the normal buffer, screen space oclusion should be doable tho although limited by lack of normal data

Thanks for all the attention and help, but i've managed to make a small modification just for one single file (unlock_shared_los.json) so the cartography is already researched from the start of the match, the mod its attached down below, fell free to change and tweak it as you want or maybe even add it as a option in the match menu.
