wowgetoffyourcellphone
The area near the Jhelum River can be pretty rocky and hilly. I hope that we can get the Map Resize patch committed so I can enbiggen the map (from the center instead of the bottom left corner) and have room to add some cliffs and rocky areas. wowgetoffyourcellphone
New map, Magadha, is inspired by some gameplay videos I saw on Youtube. I noticed that people play 1v1 matches that tend to be on smaller maps, that kind of just spread resources out over a relatively open map with few choke points. So, this is potentially what an "India" biome map could look like in EA, minus cool stuff like mercenary camps and farmlands of course :

Completely CC0 textures and very high quality. Preliminarily they might make it into the core game for A25. Once they're in, it'll take a long time and some effort to retrofit all existing scenarios, skirmishes, and random map scripts to use the new terrains properly. It'll be a challenge, but one scripting could help (seek and replace automatically). wowgetoffyourcellphone
Used Gallic Highlands as a base to make a Scythian Steppes map. It's larger and has easily less than 20% the number of trees. Way more wide open and no cliffs. Spoiler
