  1. So lions now won't ever stop tracking/following a unit if they ever saw it from afar, while eles will stop in their track even if the unit that attacked them is still in sight? Seems like the worst of both worlds to me (to make the game more micro intensive).
  2. Dunno, to me that blue circle looks more round-ish than square-y. Just reverting to the previous settings (eg display rank, no placeholder) is not an option?
  3. To not further derail the other thread: What's up with the latest changes to this site? (Like the rocket rank symbol?) @implodedok
  4. Technically anyone can do whatever they like. It just couldn't be included in the game, and I don't know what the limits of sharing (or 'promoting') of such a private mod would be. While we're at space-stuff: what's up with the latest changes to this site? (Like the rocket rank symbol?) And in what part of the forums would discussions about the site belong?
  5. Yes, retasking a trade route always has always reset the dollar amount; telling a trader to step aside (eg to get a plaster applied), has not deleted their cargo and have them forget what route they were working in earlier alphas. savegame-5232.0adsave
  6. Hrmpf, why does my trader lose his cargo when I simply tell him to step aside? Don't think that's how it used to be.
  7. Q&D translation: "Start a new game, svn 25810, no mods, cache emptied. Gulf of Bottnia, Giant, 8 players, all AI, no teams. During the game, following issues arise: 1. Some players, especially Gauls, build masses of ships (Gauls up to 50) 2. Some players build masses of siege rams (up to 20) 3. Kush, Cart & Ptols get nearly exterminated at the beginning, but none of the other players seem willing or able to finish them. The Romans get their traders killed one after the other, because they keep passing the leftover Kush CC. 4. After roughly half the game there's no serious attacks anymore, although some players have masses of units (Romans alone ~95 cav). 5. Finally the game crashes: The replays: 0037: no metadata.json available, probably bcs of crash 0038: no metadata.json available, game crashed immediately without starting giving following error message: 0039: Same saved game, this time without crash Saved games, same game, saved & loaded again and again: ... Summary: - too many ships being built - too many siege rams - illogical behavior (see 3.) - buildings get attacked but not defended - plethora of units available, but no attacks happen - 'dancing ships' Maybe someone has time to look at the replays/saves and explain to me what goes wrong here. This way the game's no fun anymore. Especially since this kinda stuff also happens with other maps, regardless if mods are enabled or not. Much regards from Germany, Mr.lie" hth
  8. As you wrote earlier somewhere all heroes should be reviewed.
  9. JFoliveras, I suppose, as that's what the watermark says. Searching that name easily brings up his site where he sells his art...
  10. I guess same here, only with the addition of setting a rally point. I never tried the autociv mod, maybe that could get you more flexibility/functionality.
  11. moin @mineu33, may I suggest to have a look at the RC2 of A25: Maybe all your problems are solved, or could be solved for the new version.
  12. Well, from the documentary Life of Brian we know that there was actually an alien civ active in the area around 0CE: If, for example, we'd give those guys two hands holding eyes I think we should also be safe from any rights holders' wrath.
  13. They also differ by having a period at the end or not. I did not study the style-guide yet, but I'd expect rules there regarding capitalization and punctuation.
  14. The behavior regarding treasures has changed quite a bit: - units will no longer acknowledge the command to collect it; if I right-click on a treasure with a unit selected it will go there and pick it up, but without the acknowledgment I wasn't sure about that - treasures are no longer reserved when a unit is set to collect it? (No more '0/1' / '1/1' displayed.) Don't know if that's all intended. savegame-5207.0adsave
  15. @Ceres @Salesome I might consider creating an account. I guess the .po wouldn't show me what's being discussed?
  16. Transifex doesn't even let you look at stuff without being logged in?
  17. Probably there should be more than one place where those champs can be trained; in Alpha25 the limit (of 1) on Mauryan Palace was removed to allow for that.
  18. Taking the road less traveled sure didn't work out for those guys. I ordered my troops to go back to work after a fight; a few went back to cutting wood, although I had ordered all to unload at the storehouse before the fight, so I guess none of them should've returned to work. I don't think there was the usual ~'Some units could not be ordered back to work' message there used to be? btw I liked how my woodcutting women were not getting stuck on the iber walls anymore.
  19. Unit silhouettes seem unreliable: Don't know if it's a (hardware) problem on my end, when I reloaded the purple guy's silhouette was displayed fine. savegame-5186.0adsave
  20. Yeah, games seem to be over quicker. Unfortunately that makes investing in trade even more questionable.
  21. @PyrrhicVictoryGuyNo, by genocide I mean wiping out civs. I'm at a loss regarding the auto pilot units...
  22. I couldn't judge. But for example I'd be fine with limiting their pop cap to match those of the other civs. Without the ability to build the worker ele has already been significantly nerfed, the need to micro everything kinda goes on top of that. I'd be happy to get rid of that, so I can focus more on the genocide aspect of the game.
