  1. Yeah, I remember that screen from AoE2. ^^ I concur. I also think my 'feminization' would be higher if 1/6th of my population were chicks in chariots elite female warriors, but I guess it will stay 'percentage of pedestrian workers trained who only cost food' for the foreseeable future. Is it intended behavior that allies attack my lifestock? I wish maps wouldn't troll me with unreachable berries. @elexis@(-_-)I've had another map with an 'invisible relic', but now I can't find it again. Once you got a solution for the relics spawning oob, will you be able to check the code of all maps? Is there a way to know who made which map?
  2. I'm not sure how to take this. I believe there are some differences between a fishing game and a RTS, and would've thought that devs have some vision on what game they want to create?
  3. Yes, they are making some kind of analysis. (You can turn on CC and get it auto-translated.) The video was made for a university course 'Archäogaming - concepts of the past in computer and video games'. Obviously they are not very experienced with the game, and a lot of the video is about basic gameplay (create units, collect resources, construct buildings...). They like the number of civs, and that people who want it get additional info about them in the game. They think the names for the civs are a bit funny, e.g. they don't like that there's only Athenians but no Greeks as such. They also don't like that you can build the acropolis anywhere and not only at the highest point of the city, and agreed that building on hills like here might not be that typical for Romans (not sure if they got the part about different maps...). tl;dr: some folks talked about 0AD in university, the two girls that made this vid generally liked the game, but there's not too much of any analysis in this vid.
  4. I'm sorry, but to me it looks like gravity is pulling differently on the mane and the tail; already when the horse is standing, but even more when the horse is rising:
  5. @Nescio Yeah, I see about the trickle; but like @WhiteTreePaladin said, maybe it could be rounded to three decimal places?
  6. A while ago @WhiteTreePaladin suggested to set the precision, but I don't know if he or anyone else has a more concrete idea about that.
  7. How? Screenshot? Did you build houses? Guide to pop-growth: gather food (Fields? Techs?), gather wood (Dropsites? Techs?), build houses.
  8. @stanislas69I was just typing a reply, but your last link clarified that we should use AE; so I guess that settles it, although I think our meaning is closer to the British.
  9. So I was wrong once again? ^^ At least I think placing docks is better visible and controllable than for example some out-of-bounds trees where you waste your workers' time...
  10. I believe docks shouldn't be place-able where workers can't reach'em, but that might not always work perfectly... Anyway, glad it worked for you.
  11. No. Neither can you secure a bit of territory nor do you need it for a dock; and the only kind of 'interim storage facility' would be a dock... Sounds like it should work. If you attached a replay or at least a screenshot showing the dock, ppl here would probably able to better help you.
  12. @sarcomaTrue, but that wasn't the question. @sentadoI haven't played with Ashoka for a while, so I don't know. Maybe @stanislas69would know (who to ask)?
  13. Maybe that could be the answer? btw: Why does it say '1post' for @alchemywhen he has two posts in this thread already?
  14. I'm not against floral names per se, but the current version is already named 'Wood'.
  15. If we put it in every release announcement they will!
  16. I believe fauna is supposed to appear in appropriate biomes? Could we maybe have some fresh water fish? I'm quite certain 'forest tuna' is not historically correct. ;P
  17. Ah, that guy. Yeah, I'm aware that a lot of 'restorations' (in the 19th century) are considered historically incorrect.
  18. @stanislas69I don't know what you mean about the castles, and how that affects the cultural worth. Only thing I found was: " In 1160, the Bishop of Paris, Maurice de Sully, decided to build a new and much larger church. He summarily demolished the Romanesque cathedral and chose to recycle its materials."
  19. "Photos show center of Notre Dame cathedral miraculously intact": I read they let the fire burn controlled, logic being what doesn't crash down can't smash things below... Some (foreign) air-head suggested using water bombers; luckily the firefighters knew better. So, the roof's gone. I don't think there was much actual cultural loss?
  20. I might be a tad late to the party, but I don't get the brick pattern on the tower, specifically the corners/cornerstones. This is leather? If I were to craft anything like this, I'd try to make sturdy panels for each side, attaching them to the corner poles of the tower; that would be clear edges, and certainly no leather pieces would go around the corner. A bit more like the first one on the left or the lower one: And I'd probably have additional vertical leather pieces protect the corners...
  21. I said I expect a description of my society. Any other expectations out there? Shall we make a poll? Like, totally? But what total do you mean here?
  22. Oh. I thought of a certain Helga asking me to call her in late night TV ads... Seriously, anybody gonna do anything about this? Codebusters! No? Maybe a ticket on trac?
  23. So, besides me mixing up several numbers... ^^ I expected a 'description of my society' rather than a description of my training history. I guess that one stat doesn't really matter, but which do you think it should be? Yeah. I guess I just should know/understand that?
