Mauryan hero does not give the benefit informed in fortres
Gurken Khan replied to sentado's topic in Bug reports
@sarcomaTrue, but that wasn't the question. @sentadoI haven't played with Ashoka for a while, so I don't know. Maybe @stanislas69would know (who to ask)? -

Maybe that could be the answer? btw: Why does it say '1post' for @alchemywhen he has two posts in this thread already? -

I'm not against floral names per se, but the current version is already named 'Wood'.

If we put it in every release announcement they will!

I believe fauna is supposed to appear in appropriate biomes? Could we maybe have some fresh water fish? I'm quite certain 'forest tuna' is not historically correct. ;P

Ah, that guy. Yeah, I'm aware that a lot of 'restorations' (in the 19th century) are considered historically incorrect. -

@stanislas69I don't know what you mean about the castles, and how that affects the cultural worth. Only thing I found was: " In 1160, the Bishop of Paris, Maurice de Sully, decided to build a new and much larger church. He summarily demolished the Romanesque cathedral and chose to recycle its materials." -
Notre Dame cathedral loss

"Photos show center of Notre Dame cathedral miraculously intact": I read they let the fire burn controlled, logic being what doesn't crash down can't smash things below... Some (foreign) air-head suggested using water bombers; luckily the firefighters knew better. So, the roof's gone. I don't think there was much actual cultural loss? -
===[COMMITTED]=== Carthaginian Unit Textures

I might be a tad late to the party, but I don't get the brick pattern on the tower, specifically the corners/cornerstones. This is leather? If I were to craft anything like this, I'd try to make sturdy panels for each side, attaching them to the corner poles of the tower; that would be clear edges, and certainly no leather pieces would go around the corner. A bit more like the first one on the left or the lower one: And I'd probably have additional vertical leather pieces protect the corners... -
I said I expect a description of my society. Any other expectations out there? Shall we make a poll? Like, totally? But what total do you mean here?
-
Oh. I thought of a certain Helga asking me to call her in late night TV ads... Seriously, anybody gonna do anything about this? Codebusters! No? Maybe a ticket on trac?
-
So, besides me mixing up several numbers... ^^ I expected a 'description of my society' rather than a description of my training history. I guess that one stat doesn't really matter, but which do you think it should be? Yeah. I guess I just should know/understand that?
-
How's the 'feminisation' stat calculated? Does it only take trained working pedestrians into account? I've got 47 units, 5 of which are my starting males, and 3 male cavs; so I'd expect my feminisation to be around ~83%?

Just wanted to mention it: I think the 'Tropical Palm' tends to have a leave on the top that seems to awkwardly lie across:

Tough choices. Went for 'The lobby 1. We should'.

It's all so disgusting. The Council of Ministers will have a final vote on this on the 15th. Since Italy, Poland, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands and Luxembourg already announced that they'll vote 'No', Germany could still prevent it. But of course that's not gonna happen. Instead our great Minister of Justice wants to say 'please use no upload-filters to filter the uploads'...

===[TASK]=== Splitting Maps to only showcase the "best"
Gurken Khan replied to Sturm's topic in Official tasks
Might be worth a try. Yeah, I saw that one spot where I could've 'docked & chopped'; but to aim my whole game play to that, only to be able to build a full set of my civ's buildings? 'Luckily' that was one of the games that crashed, so I didn't have to go through with it... So, that's what's up. Good to know! As a first step the ridiculous size of the ships could be decreased. And maybe I'm just a bit daft, but 'expecting' anything in this regard is always guesswork for me. I wish it would be easier to tell what waters are 'ornamental', and which are navigable; or in this case with the Thames, to what degree they are navigable. If we are talking about picking maps from the material we've got, it's both? -

Gurken Khan replied to Sturm's topic in Official tasks
My default setting is 'medium'. I don't think it's ideal that the same settings don't lead to the same kind of 'playability'; if I want to play a randomly picked map, I shouldn't have to adjust the settings for a specific map beforehand, since I don't know that this specific map is coming up... I didn't like Dodecanese; no space to build, no land available where I could place a CC. I don't like the fake treasures on Cycladic Archipelago. I really strongly dislike that Archipelago always has fish on land. On British Channel I hated the Thames. And there were maps where I thought my ships should be able to go places, but they weren't. And in combination with having to use the biggest & dumbest units (ships) all the time... -

Maybe it would actually be a good way to go, having a curated list of recommended maps be the default selection. Stating the type behind the name, eg [Schlumpfhausen (ugly)], could warn people to pick maps of a type they don't want to play. Then I'd like to have check boxes to include types of maps, and I'd actually like to have it expandable so I can include/exclude certain maps. For example I think some of the naval maps are simply sub-par, or no fun at all to play; like when you hardly have any space to build, but have a civ like Persians who simply need some space for their buildings... -
If we were to have a merch shop like I proposed, I guess we'd have a button/link somewhere. I think using ads was only suggested once by one person and no one else seemed to support it. And even if you knew that someone else had a 0AD mug or shirt, I really hope that wouldn't take away too much from the game for you. What kind of 'free code' do you mean? Not the already free game code?

I guess the Juggernaut could be considered a flagship; but it only has more health, no other bonuses like auras. But the Fire Ship is self-consuming, so while it is civ specific, it's by no means a flagship.
-
@nerfirIf you go from the title screen to 'Learn to Play' and then 'Manual' you can see all the commands.

Dude, you're not funny at all. I don't think these forums or the 0AD servers are the place for your kind of 'religious' and 'racial' 'jokes' and 'discussions', thank you.
