===[REFERENCE]=== Metallurgy

Terms like gilding and tempering are also areas of concern. Gilding makes alloys appear like precious metals and tempering can darken or lighten (and make it glossy) an alloy. -

æs Corinthiacum - Hepatizon - Orichalcum - -
This topic is essential to the artists that contribute to the game. It can help them to properly understand the nature of the material that they are working on, in order to properly depict them in the game. This topic will serve as a baseline for the discussion about the metallurgical history of the respective factions which are playable in 0ad. I really encourage the information junkies around the community to participate in the discussions in order to create a useful reference which the community artists could use. Thank you very much!

===[COMMITTED]=== Celtic Unit Helmets
wackyserious replied to Alexandermb's topic in Completed Art Tasks
Some of it I believe are Etruscan, could've been looted by the Celts. Would be very useful and serve more purpose, so carry on. Plus it is referenced in the images that they used it, similar to how Hannibal's veterans equipped themselves with the battle gear of the Roman legion in his campaign. -

Millennium A.D. - Alpha 23 Release Discussion
wackyserious replied to wackyserious's topic in General
@stanislas69 Tested the latest pyromod that you uploaded Played as Byzantines vs. Carolingians (Byzantine corral still encounters the mud prop issue) Played as Norse vs. Anglo-Saxons (Anglo-Saxon unusual behavior, spawns stables) I have to work on the distinction between basic Byzantine and Carolingian units. They share body textures at the moment, maybe something for A24. -

Are you using a new mesh for the helmets? Or is it still the ones in vanilla? The textures looks really nice! -

@Alexandermb Just drop the necessary files in this thread -
Glad that DE made its debut at mod.io This is something refreshing after suffering from a terrible flu these past days. epir_merc_infantry_1 has death animation issues. The only issue I've gotten so far.

Millennium A.D. - Alpha 23 Release Discussion
wackyserious replied to wackyserious's topic in General
@Alexandermb Maybe a variant for the elite units, together with the Pioneer helmet If you have time, could you also reconstruct the Coppergate helmet? Great job as always! -
@stanislas69 Those are just the Celtic head textures using another mesh.
-
-
@Alexandermb some nice saddles plus another texture without the chamfrons would complete that guy. Could you also refit the Anglo-Saxon helmet meshes? I added a new head actor which doesn't clip with the helm (german_a.xml) Thanks!
-
@stanislas69 In the process of committing it at the moment, sorry for the delay.
-
Can I commit it later today? I have an appointment this morning which could take a few hours.

Packing and Unpacking Rams and Siege Towers
wackyserious replied to LordGood's topic in Gameplay Discussion
Maybe when workshops are fully implemented? Set it as a requirement for siege equipment construction in the field. -
A remove mod button could be useful too. Would be convenient for players, so that they do not have to go to the mod directory to delete mods that don't want to keep.
-
What happened to Millennium AD??
-
Also experienced a crash to desktop.
-
Can I still commit a few actors and textures to Millennium AD? Testing at the moment.
-
These pictures made me happy. Spectacle.

@stanislas69 Do I have to download the zip? Or just replacing the ones listed in the instruction will do?
