  1. Finalizing some of the remaining placeholder entities. The Byzantine faction is already playable, I will commit it later tonight. @stanislas69 @Alexandermb \
  2. It now works, thanks a lot!
  3. Yeah it is all in the directory, got any more leads on why it produces an error?
  4. Placeholder structures for the Byzantines. @Imarok Can you help me identify why I'm getting errors on the civ .JSON, above?
  5. So I tried to create a civilization .JSON file for the Byzantines. I copy-pasted a pre-existing civilization .JSON and replaced the necessary inputs. However I'm getting errors when testing them in-game.
  6. We need to organize the unit roster. A faction emblem would be needed too.
  7. @Alexandermb Can you separate the actors of the packed trebuchet operators too? So that they can use a variety of textures and props. Thanks!
  8. @stanislas69 @Alexandermb Should this faction be the next in the priority list? Could we let them use Lordgood's Spartan buildings pack as their building placeholders? If someone could create a unit roster for me, I think I can start working on their actor files. Asking for opinions and suggestions. @LordGood @Nescio @Sundiata @Lion.Kanzen @wowgetoffyourcellphone plus anyone else who might be interested in this development.
  9. Nice work man! Could you modify the Carolingian walls a bit? Maybe add more geometry to create irregularities. Also, can't the top part be wattle and daub? So that it will match the civil centre?
  10. Small vegetable gardens that function like farms would be great too! A single strip or box garden can only be accessed by one gatherer.
  11. Updated Anglo-Saxon hero auras. Alfred the Great Secured Borders: Structures are 10% harder to capture while he lives. Fyrd Reforms: Additional 15% movement speed for spear infantry. Offa of Mercia Mercian Hegemony: Additional 10% territory effect for all structures while he lives. Influence: Reduce the health points of enemy heroes by 10%
  12. Could be, as long as the whole building set maintains unified theme.
  13. The trio would just be idle though out the game, players will just place them near gatherers to have an economic boost. They will be visually similar to traders or packed siege engines where walking and idle animations are synced. It would be too much macro-management if we will implement three of them. That was also the pattern based on the sources. One bishop and two non-clergy representatives of the Emperor.
  14. Plus it will be useful in the future since part 2 of the mod will cover the middle ages proper and the late middle ages.
  15. The red-white striped one? I'll try to add patterns to the tunic ornaments too.
  16. Existing noblemen tunic texture for the Franks can be tweaked, then add some headgear and some minor details.
  17. If we are going to follow the minister unit approach, I would suggest that the minister unit actor file would be three infantries banded together. One bishop, and two noblemen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitulary_of_Servais
  18. Or this can simply be implemented in a passive form which is though civilization bonus.
  19. The palace building will also function similar to the Persian apadana building. Part of the original concept for the Carolingians was for them to gain metal though taxation. Copying the function of the Apadana will also limit the training of Schola palatina at the palace building, similar to how Immortals can only be trained at the Apadana and though heroes.
  20. This can be implemented similar to the Nine ministers (Goverment administrators) or the Chinese faction in Terra Magna. Where the Missi Dominici can be trained at the palace building after researching https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitularia_missorum_specialia which was the edict that defined the role and functions of the said office. Similar to the ministers, a Missus dominicus can only be trained at a specific limit and requires one fortress or civic center each.
  21. It has, I've been testing the faction for a while, it serves as a drop site and has an economic bonus aura. Yes, technologies researchable on the mill would be good.
  22. But Alexandermb already made a wonder for the Carolingians, and it's really massive
  23. @Lion.Kanzen If Aristeia is per se playable and updated to the current version, I can help in revitalizing the unit roster (and maybe add up missing units too)
  24. Why don't we separate each? With the Throne room serving as the palace building while the chapel would be the wonder or the separated entities could be different scenario/eyecandy entities available at Atlas.
  25. Was avoiding the brown-haired variant during the screenshot process, but kept appearing, so I had to choose it. Good guy clergy healing wounded units.
