Any references that I could use?

@Lion.Kanzen can we use this for the Zapotecs? I'm currently creating textures for @Trinketos 's Aztec faction and thought if this textures also fit the timeframe of the Zapotecs.
-
Also noticed that the Persian camelry scout also has no meat gathering animation.

@wowgetoffyourcellphone The Britonnic fortress in the mod is using the old model

@Servo Yes, it is playable, though I'm not sure if it is already packaged and released over at mod.io

A little more thickness in circumference on the conical part. More like a traffic cone-ish -

The first Beru helmet that you created had a wide bottom and mid section similar to this variant. Could you make another variant that is closer to this form? With a wide bottom section and a full conical transition from the mid section onward to the top section. Plus with a height scale equal to the second Beru variant (The slimmer and taller one) -

It seems like it is derived from the Negau Helmet or the Daone Helmet which is a variant of the former. A rich amount of visual reference could be found here. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Negau_helmets https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Daone_helmet_(Brescia) https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Celtic_helmets Aside from Ravens they also attach boars atop some of their helmets. Terms like gilding and tempering are also areas of concern. Gilding makes alloys appear like precious metals and tempering can darken or lighten (and make it glossy) an alloy. -

This topic is essential to the artists that contribute to the game. It can help them to properly understand the nature of the material that they are working on, in order to properly depict them in the game. This topic will serve as a baseline for the discussion about the metallurgical history of the respective factions which are playable in 0ad. I really encourage the information junkies around the community to participate in the discussions in order to create a useful reference which the community artists could use. Thank you very much!

Some of it I believe are Etruscan, could've been looted by the Celts. Would be very useful and serve more purpose, so carry on. Plus it is referenced in the images that they used it, similar to how Hannibal's veterans equipped themselves with the battle gear of the Roman legion in his campaign. -

Millennium A.D. - Alpha 23 Release Discussion
wackyserious replied to wackyserious's topic in General
@stanislas69 Tested the latest pyromod that you uploaded Played as Byzantines vs. Carolingians (Byzantine corral still encounters the mud prop issue) Played as Norse vs. Anglo-Saxons (Anglo-Saxon unusual behavior, spawns stables) I have to work on the distinction between basic Byzantine and Carolingian units. They share body textures at the moment, maybe something for A24. -

Are you using a new mesh for the helmets? Or is it still the ones in vanilla? The textures looks really nice! -
