  1. Socrates maybe? Could swap between philosopher mode and hoplite mode.
  2. So, Delenda Est is revamping heroes to be a lot more interesting. Along with selecting your preferred hero at the start of the match, heroes will start out on foot, with only economic auras, and then over the phases have more auras and bonuses unlocked. Furthermore, many heroes will be upgradeable to mounted versions in City Phase. What I need help for is determining which heroes get which bonuses when, and also what type of mounts they should receive (horse, chariot, elephant, etc.). Any input, especially if sourced would be appreciated. Trying to push this thing as far as I can.
  3. I just looked it up too. The promo video looks straight out of Rise of Nations or Age of Empires 2.
  4. The house system for the Hylian battalions would do great for depicting the various Roman Legions for 0 A.D. (and/or Delenda Est).
  5. Now committed to the original Delenda Est github repository.
  6. I wonder if a WWII Total War would work. Another would be American Civil War.
  7. Ironically we should technically never depict royal women in the game since they would always be stuck inside the buildings.
  8. Any idea how to adjust the size of the hero medallion (the clickable portrait in the upper left corner of the screen)?
  9. Also, I wish what it did was convert a skirmish replacer to the hero of your choice instead of just unlocking his training. Or, at the least, remove the training buttons from the other unselected heroes.
  10. @Stan` Thanks for your help! I think one more thing: Which value do I change to move the buttons upward off the HUD? I've been messing around with civ_choices_window.xml for 20 minutes and have only gotten funny results.
  11. Sure, but I'm working on the A24 version of Delenda Est.
  12. I get nothing in that log. BTW -- delenda est is a dependency as well.
  13. I believe I have all the files in place, there just needs to be some key edits that allude me. https://github.com/JustusAvramenko/Delenda-Est-Civ-Choices-Mod
  14. Is map set to NavalMap? I think this inits some commands for Petra.
  15. Right now I'm having trouble. At first I tinkered with @fcxSanya's mod and couldn't get it to work, reasoning that it's pretty out of date deciding to tinker with Hyrule Conquest's code of the same files (based on Alexander's code). I get no error codes, but no buttons either, even though Alexander's mod and Hyrule Conquest work with Alpha 23. Again, the files are out of date with Alpha 24, which is probably the major culprit. Any help from the community?
  16. UPDATE: WORKING NOW, THANKS EVERYBODY Now committed to the Delenda Est Git repository: Github: Delenda Est Original: 0 A.D. Delenda Est Civ Choices Mod https://github.com/JustusAvramenko/Delenda-Est-Civ-Choices-Mod Adds the civ choices dialog allowing to select one of mutually exclusive technologies at the start of the match. In Delenda Est's case, it allows the training of 1 selected hero from the beginning of the match. Based upon work by Alexander Olkhovskiy: https://github.com/AlexanderOlkhovskiy/0ad-civ-choices-mod The first test civ is the Macedonians, the 4 heroes being:
  17. ANTIFA literally means anti-fascist. As such, it is not an actual organization with a hierarchy or leadership. Anyone can claim to be ANTIFA, including ALT-RIGHT groups masquerading as them. 18. True, the differences between the US and Europe (and indeed, between different European countries) in the way minorities are treated are legion, historically and currently. That's why I post that documentary. I'll link it again, since it is very powerful and even opened my eyes to a few things I was ignorant of. The section about the old silent film "Birth of a Nation," where the KKK is lionized is particularly shocking in the way it invigorated the movement toward black suppression. What I've run into in the US is how some whites like to pretend these protests or incidents are isolated, fully encapsulated events. They like to point out certain data points throughout history, as if history is not a continuum. "No black person alive has ever been a slave," or "Everyone has equal rights under the law already, what more can you want?" And many people are just plain ignorant. Schools teach about the civic rights struggle, but it's a cursory glance and easily forgotten. Often, school instruction on these related issues are not only insufficient, but somewhat counterproductive due to its selective nature. Folks then wonder why college students get radicalized once they learn the real truth hidden from them by their primary educators and parents. The book, "The Lies My Teacher Told Me," is a great introduction here.
  19. A 1 hr 40 min documentary about how the US Constitution's 13th Amendment has actually authorized oppression of blacks: Gives anyone who is interested in the subject a great background. Especially Europeans who think they know American history.
  20. Alexander hero helmet plz? Others can perhaps find primary sources.
