  1. You can prolly notify and star it so it shows up in your github dashboard, but I don't know about email notifications...
  2. Still the Isometric view is a pain on some maps (yes, again Northern Islands) because of the terrain elevation. It might be nice, if this option is added, to allow for some 90 degrees step rotation or so.
  3. Oh, in my memories it had more fog (it's there but not quite much). the random map Northern Lights is the one you need to look at. I tested it, like wraitii says you need that option to be true.
  4. Andrettin, it entirely depends on the scenario designer (check out Northern Islands f.e., the map that was added with the last release).
  5. Atlas has no problems with loading from mod folders, but you need to press the 'Save configurations' in the Mod Loader.
  6. They're not displayed when playing?
  7. There is a mod.json file that you need to include. See f.e. https://github.com/0ADMods/han_china
  8. Removing the fog effect wouldn't be right, it's part of the map design. (And in some, like Northern Islands, it is an elemental part)
  9. Every new release of 0 A.D. requires a new Rise of the East release (since so much things changed in the base game, rendering it incompatible with the previous Rise of the East release). But don't worry, things are getting ready for a new release (we already are in the release process)!
  10. There are loads of ways to change that (check out the in-game manual)
  11. Starting up Atlas takes quite a long time, you shouldn't force quit that too early (just wait a few mins before doing that) (and what's that you striked through in the directory?)
  12. Instead of moving files to mods>mod you should alter the location of the public folder. When you installed it the tree showed something like this: public >- public.zip + art + simulation + etc- mod.jsonNow when you unzip it, you should rearrange it to this: public >- art- simulation- etc.- mod.json
  13. What you propose, ffm, is not so fundamentaly different from wraitii's proposition. Wraitii's mechanic about market's stockpile does more or less the same thing (when the stockpile is empty there's no trade gain <- is also a way of competing between traders)
  14. You know, most of these propositions sound really fun to try out in a mod! Trade Mod Contest anyone?!
  15. Make sure to tick the 'import units' box when importing .dae files in blender. That also is a source of scale issues...
  16. Wait till January 2017, before asking again. But I think we're going offtopic. Better stick to the SMAA topic (in case you can help nikagra with his technical questions ofc, else stop posting in this topic).
  17. Just create an empty text file with that name and extension (make sure you change the extension, not something like local.cfg.txt!) and copy the lines you want to change over
  18. Yes, local.cfg doesn't exist unless you create it.
  19. A nice one to try is American Conquest: Fight Back. I think most features wouldn't fit in 0 A.D. but it gives a good insight in what realism does with an RTS. Since that's what it is: a Realistic RTS. It features resource consumption (units eat food, soldiers consume coal and iron to shoot), in-depth battle mechanics (scatter of fire, morale, formations, primary gun and secondary swords) and large-scale battles. Very fun to try. Praetorians is definetly a must try, here is a repack that's freely available: http://www.moddb.com/games/praetorians/downloads/praetorians-mods-complex-24
  20. If the Village Phase is boring it doesn't mean that you need to abolish it. Why not make it more interesting? => Reduce LOS, make Hunting more viable (by somehow reducing the impact of the distance to the dropsite -> increase carry capacity just for hunting or something). Maybe even something in terms of a Player vs. Environment... I think that is much more fun than removing phases. If we remove every gameplay feature that's not perfect, we would be left with a bare-stripped game that's not fun to play at all. Better improve those features instead.
