Civ info changes
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to Jeru's topic in Game Development & Technical Discussion
I believe that it would be best to get well documented articles written specifically for the game. Wikipedia has a great store of knowledge, yet it would be preferable to have more reliable articles that also do not require Internet access to read. -
Civ info changes
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to Jeru's topic in Game Development & Technical Discussion
Perhaps the community could be encouraged to write well cited history articles of different kinds. Maybe even a specific list could be be made for their convenience. -
Hero aura/selections
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to Mythos_Ruler's topic in Game Development & Technical Discussion
Perhaps since the hero effects those in formation with him, a cool looking banner could be displayed much like in the total war series. Just make it less as large. -
Obviously though, this is a massive improvement. I am definitely looking forward to the opportunity of befriending and antagonizing the AI.

Hero aura/selections
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to Mythos_Ruler's topic in Game Development & Technical Discussion
I like the hero aura appearance, but would it not be better to just not bother since their bonuses will be granted to units in formation? -

Suggestions for 0 A.D.
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to Wijitmaker's topic in Gameplay Discussion
Well, an agora was a public open place used for assemblies and markets. Either word works, but due to the general layout of the building, agora seems more fitting. -
Random Map Script:Unknown
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to Spahbod's topic in Scenario Design/Map making
Could you possibly make there be a map script called The Unknown Land Mass and The Unkown Water Masses? I believe that the the titles are pretty self-explanatory. -
Scythia was relatively insignificant, but it is possible that there would be some Scythian units and buildings.

Quick request from the Music dept.
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to OmriLahav's topic in Art Development
Good job, but I have a few questions. Why did you translate "march" as Zugei? March should probably be second person plural making it Zugete. Also, in translating glory, you used Αρετη, which means virtue. A practical alternative is Τιμη, which means "honor", or δóξα, which means "glory". Possibly the lyrics on that line could be changed to "Honor, Glory". -

Theatron or theatre idea
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded replied to Patricius's topic in General Discussion
The general idea for the Theatron structure is to expand the border influence by twenty percent. It has unfortunately, not been implemented yet. -
Perhaps instead of increasing building hitpoints, it could reduce the costs and also, it could possibly give a combat bonus to units around it. That seems very purposeless since Spartan players' citizen soldiers are trained at the elite rank during the city phase. Zeus was also more of a god that related to honesty, friendliness, to foreigners, oaths, the sky. It would be far more appropriate then, to have the Temple of Zeus give a trading bonus. This of course, is hardly Spartan, so it brings me back to my old suggestion that no one very much likes; have the wonder be their Temple of Artemis. It may just be another temple, but it was Spartan, and the fact that it seems very unoriginal is reasonable, since the Spartans, although pious, were not that obsessed with building impractically large statues. The fact that it would not look very unique would make it look Spartan.

What civilization would this music be for? That could have a lot of bearing on what language should be used.
