  3. Still need <Entity parent="template_player"> in yayo.xml Forge needs an ao map? Embassy needs an icon. All ao maps need normalized. This looks like a great mod so far. Loving the architecture! Tip: Everything needs an icon now, no exceptions.

  5. I like this new faction. Many of the games I've seen always depict a later era, usually Japan after the 8th century, which seems to be more Chinese, while the earlier Japan with its own civilization characteristics is rarely represented.

  6. So, this is what's been happening for the past few days. I can join some games, but not others. Those aren't private games, those are normal tg that I can't join for some odd reason. Also, something similar happened where I hosted a game and one of my friends couldn't join me, but random people were able to join and then he hosted a game, and I wasn't able to join him while other random people were able to join him. I deleted my antivirus, disabled my firewall, tried many many things, but to no avail. Hence, I have decided to post it here. I am on windows btw and I use my University's wifi (felt like it was important to share idk). lmk if there's a solution. cheers, facts

  9. Blender messes up animations when importing old models. Safest bet is reexporting everything. Sometimes you need to remove custom properties from every bone. I made a tutorial somewhere.

  10. Hi, I am working on an African animal mod for 0.A.D, and I am making a cheetah run cycle with the tiger rig with the tiger model as a placeholder until I make a cheetah, but I get this result prior to blender dae export of the animations, I baked it and everything, how do I fix this?

  11. That means an empty production queue, i.e. the building doesn't produce anything. If you want to train units, then: <ProductionQueue> <Entities data='tokens'> unit_a </Entities> </ProductionQueue> In A26 it will be replaced with <Trainer> tag

Unlike a community plugin that appears to haven't been updated in like 5 years IRC is reliable, doesn't eat resources and does only what it's supposed to do, so just like email it will likely outlive all cool and trendy alternatives. Add that it's open, tooling is plenty and writing bots is trivial.

  15. Not sure if it should have furnace. I think metal artifacts were not very common among Mayans, and the first ones date from classical period. Perhaps one of civ bonuses could be that they not use metal resource. But this type of gameplay might be hard to balance.

  23. The idea makes sense. A hot key similar to the go-to-last-attacked-alert could also go along with it. A general comment on sound notifications and cool downs. We often operate as though unless a sound effect has played we are not under attack. Sometimes we come under attack but no sound effect has played and we are upset to see the damage we have suffered. (Is this because of cool-downs? What are the other conditions?) Having the outpost make a noise, especially inconsistently, might similarly frustrate players by habituating them to expect alert sounds.
